    Born and raised Trinidadian-Minnesotan.
Whenever I'm around the Minnesota nice/passive aggressiveness, I'll play dumb.
It's a great way to see their true intentions.

Just moved up here from Texas. You are right. Being nice is more important than being right. LOL. Even up here in the NW corner of Minnesota, near the North Dakota border. But the small town vibes are every bit as friendly as East Texas. I am really enjoying it. I am renting right now, but hope to purchase this time next year.

Lol. That's right! I would much rather avoid the confrontation and let people go about their business. Save me the stress! lol. Glad you're liking it so far.

I have found that the further west in United States, the more open people are. Very true about Minnesotans. Im proud to be one. Thank you for your video.

I spent a week in Rochester during December a year or so ago and the people were very nice. I was so surprised (live in Texas) how nice. It encouraged me to start looking for a place up there. Still looking (market is kinda wack right now) but it definitely was the reason it got me open to the idea of moving there.

It definitely is nice. You can pretty much start a conversation with anyone. Are you looking for a place in Rochester or the Twin Cities in general?

@@movingtominnesota Looking for something out in the country really. House/ w10+ acres, trees, maybe some water but mostly trees. Most of the places I've found I've liked are north of Twin Cities.

That is so weird that there are people who still have their primary and secondary school friends as adults. I wouldn't be able to pick mine out of a police line up!
Honestly, as long as nobody is outwardly mean and obnoxious im fine with this. 😊

Yeah, most of my friends that I do things with today are either friends from high school or people I used to work with. Didn't realize it though until you sit down and think about it. And most of my "new friends" are people that I met through my old friends lol!

For both it was proximity to Minneapolis. They ate both super close and that was most appealing. I want big city amenities without being directly in it.
Bloomington because I love MOA and all the surrounding parks and lakes. 🙂
Being out in nature is important to me. Since I have a car it would not be problematic for me either.
I'm looking for a small house in one of the areas.

My wife is Japanese. She's been here in MN almost 30 years. She says it's almost the exact same. I also met an Icelander here when he came as an exchange student in the 80's. He says it's about the same. Do we call those cultures passive-aggressive?
My theory is that this Scandinavian/Nordic trait (as well as the "o" in "boat" ) is from them.
