When I went to Japan I was told I should make 'shhluurp' sound eating noodles, but I did not hear slurping in China or Korea. And I think I heard Kotoha slurping... Anyone else have a view on cultural difference about slurping sound? BTW: I usually buy Shin noodles, but now want to try these Chinese and Japanese brands again.
I think people are misinformed a bit on this. Its not that you must slurp. Slurping is not a form of respect for chefs in Japan, and there are many videos that already debunked the real truth of slurping. People slurping is so that soup noodles the soup doesn't drip all over and you enjoy the combination to the fullest forma tastier meal. Also its a habit that comes when you are trying to eat soup noodles really quick (and well people are busy to go from point a to point b). Its one of those things where people just dont care about slurping because it happens often and its seen as OK at that situation to slurp. Theres no harm for slurping noodles, and at the same time, people wont take offense if you don't. So you can if you choose to, but its not about respect to the chefs
@@campusrec4098 When I visited my Japanese friend in Japan, she told me I should slurp while eating... as though it was expected. I'll have to ask her at what level of 'should' she meant... The Chinese cup noodles look so appetizing I’d like to try it- I assume it tastes like the Indonesian ramen which are very delicious 🤤 btw what are the Chinese ramen cup noodles call?
Kang Shi Fu, and the most classic flavor is the red braised beef. Here is the Chinese: 康師傅紅燒牛肉面. If you bring it to the Asian supermarket, they may be able to find it for you. :D
Cup Noodles is my favourite because the toppings seem more filling. I went to the museum in Japan and got to make my own personalised cup. It was really cool. Shin Ramen is very popular in Australia so I eat it often, same with Indomie mi goreng.
After watching this video KNOW the difference between Chinese noodles : smells good Japanese noodles : seems good Korean noodles : taste good I think we should take every scope of one of these to have smell , look and taste.
I think it all boils (see what i did there?) down to preference actually. If you like the spicy kick then Shin ramen is a really really good choice. Personally its a tad bit too spicy for my liking, so Nissin Cup Noodle is my go to every time! *Edit: with that being said, i am going to make myself a cup of Nissin Tomyum Noodles rn!
As an American in the Midwest, I don’t interact enough with the various Asian cultures to know the subtleties and nuance. Now however, after starting to date a woman from China who is a grad student and by hanging out with her I am therefore by extension more exposed to a number of Asian students at the university that I normally would not have entered into the social circle of. I’m really staring to notice little things that harken to traditions of each country, small details and what they emphasize in food and other things. Even physical traits are starting to become more prominent, though I dare not ever say that out loud to them for risk of being tested and failing 😅
It's funny because what Hyejin did with the Shin cup, I do it every time (except the lid). The lid is interesting. Maybe it's because Koreans don't have a habit of picking up their bowls?
Philippines: We have lots of Nissin and Jin Ramyun in the Supermarket. For me, I rarely find Chinese noodles but I eat the noodle named haohuanluo snail noodles. It has seven seasonings and spicy level is different. But the deadliest spicy noodles for me is the Samyang brand Noodle.
I grew up with the Japanese style in the cup or the brick type. I live in the Southwest USA so wasn't until in about the past 5 -10 years that we started getting other type of ramen. Never seen the Chinese one, we have a Korean grocery store were I live now so have tried many of the Korean ones though. I love how the Japanese girl goes back for seconds each time 🤣Very interesting video, thank you!
i had all three before and imo korean ramen had the bounciest noodles!! I think it might be the oil content in the noodles or how they process it (frying maybe) have no idea. Tried a few brands and they are all super bouncy! My favorite is Samyang. Only tried Shin once, but it's too spicy for my stomach to handle. Chinese ramen has the best broths, esp the pricier ones and so many flavors. Japanese ramen is classic, very "comfort food" for me. I always keep nissan cups in stock lol
Cup of Noodles are everywhere in the states you can get them at any grocery store pretty cheap too. Though Korean noodles are starting to make there way over here.
Hi to all the WORLD FRIENDS group. I have a request for you. Pls pls pls do more Korean Japanese Chinese videos. I just love this combo so much. Hope you’ll see my comment. Love from India 🇮🇳💜💜
Nissin Cup Noodles is the only one available where I live(unless I purchase online). And I’d say it’s _okay_ at best. But then again, the product they sell here and the ones in Japan are different.
A couple years too late, but because noodles expand, there is probably an empty space at the bottom of the Nissin one. Also, I noticed, the old styrofoam containers that recommended using a kettle of hot water, often had the fill line near the top. Most instant noodles now are designed to heat the water in the container in the microwave so they leave more space, just in case it starts to boil over in the microwave.
Hi am an Indian, I have tried both original the Japanese nissin cup noodles it's good and the original korean shin ramyun(the regular one not the cup noodle) and i must say shin ramyun just blew me away i was my first time seen an instant noodle with so much character i had heard from my friends it's really spicy but i must say i am really impressed it tastes excellent,it doesn't feels like your regular instant lifeless noodle it looks n taste like it's from a restaurant, it's my no1 go to instant noodles and the best i had till to this day 🇰🇷lots of ❤️from🇮🇳. Keep making great noodles!! . . Ps:- shin ramyun will burn your face off if you can't handle the spices .use only half the silver packet if that's the case.

I think Japanese instant noodles don’t have strong flavours and are a bit artificial, Korean noodles are nice but shin is just really hot chilli with no meaty flavour, Chinese instant noodles are tasty with a nice meaty/savoury flavour and sometimes chilli and are getting better and better, I think Chinese instant noodles are my favourite but I’ve tried Japanese, Korean and Chinese noodles.
For the ones they ate, the Chinese one is the best one. For Chinese instant noodles in general, let's just say... no comment.... But they do have good ones. But for instant noodles in general, Japanese ones are the best. There's absolutely no competition for me. When I say Japanese ones, I don't mean ones made outside of Japan like American Maruchan or HK Demae. There are so much more interesting flavours and higher quality instant ramen than the original flavour of Cup Noodles which is possibly one of the worst you can buy in Japan (but it's still good, I think better than Shin cup). Re-eatability for Japanese instant ramen is the highest for me (out of the three countries). Generally they feel higher quality. I don't understand what you mean by artificial, because I find that Chinese flavours are generally much more artificial. Cup Noodles is probably the most well-known cup noodles internationally. Korean ones usually don't entice me as much, but they have the best noodles made outside of their home country (they have factories in China and US). The Japanese brand ones made in America usually taste like crap lol. For Shin cup, it's extremely boring when I have it the second time. It's only good for the first time in a long while. I would only recommend it if you've never tried it before. I think Shin cup is also popular in China, more popular than Cup Noodles. Also, I've never seen yakisoba or ganbanmian style noodles among Korean noodles. Only jjajangmyun style, or bibimmyun, or buldak style, all of which I prefer less than yakisoba and ganbanmian. Jjajangmyun usually taste very mild and lack of depth in flavour (otherwise the best flavour among the Korean dry noodles), and I don't like the taste of bibimmyun. Buldak style (Korean sweet spicy panfried noodles) gets old quick. Taiwanese ones are interesting but I'm not too familiar with them. They're kind of like a crossover between Chinese and Japanese in terms of flavour and quality. I think Korean noodles are kind of the outliers among the four countries in terms of taste. If I remember correctly, their dry noodles are very MSG-happy (might be even more than Indomie/mi goreng) but still taste good. I remember Manhan noodles are also interesting, but I haven't had them for a very long time.
Shin Ramen, Cup noodles etc... Are really popular in Québec too! We have so much différent ramens, from all around the world in Montréal, even if you eat 1 each week, it will took 5 years to taste them all! But, Shin ramen is sold everywhere! The good Cup ramens ( japanese one), are pricey and more rare. Around 3.50$ Can, and the others like Ishiban etc... Around 5$. I used to purchase the curry one, but know i, can't find it anymore. Because the canadian Cup ramens are really bad! Only powder, 1 or 2 tiny shrimps and some hard and rare carrots and peas... But they cost less than 1,50$
Damn really? I really hate Nissin noodles. I don't actually like Japanese instant noodles much. Shin ramen imo is pretty bad too compared to some other Korean ramens. Kang used to be good, now it tastes meh and noodle quality is bad too. But for these ones presented: Kang > Shin > Nissin
@@flysmask Only the series shown for Nissin is good, they have lots of ingredients as well. Usually i go for seafood, mushroom chicken tom yam or curry if im feeling "rich". (It's $1.50 each but i can buy indo/msia/thai 5pack for $3). Their other series are meh. Shin and other korean instant noodles are too spicy and those soup ones makes me vomit if i eat too much. I've been trying to find Kang purple for half a year now. so i cant give any update on the quality.
Not sure if Thai brands sell them out of cups yet but I usually go for WaiWai or Mama noodles. I think it should've been added since their broth is more seafood oriented(usually shrimp and lime flavor).
I'm not Chinese or Japanese Korean, but i I ate cup noodle The taste of the tomato is really delicious and it is really hard to find in foreign countries and I sent it to my friend and it was really delicious.
Nissin is the most accessible noodles for us here in the U.S. Love for late-night snack or when I'm sick the chicken one will fill your stomach up and won't be too rough on it and something hot for your throat. think we have yakisoba too and another brand I like the teriyaki one with pieces of cabbage in it, but we always have to add the vegetables first then, the oil or flavor after we boil it in the instructions. there is a convenience store with other flavors I've not been to but a couple of my friends love. I have to limit the amount eat it only every few days in the packaging there's preservatives that are not good for your colon your body it takes days to digest. I so long for Korean spicy rice cakes one I've seen in dramas saw a company on fb that sells but I"m scared it's one of the fake companies trying to trick us like been before.
I’m surprised that I’ve ate all. I eat the kimchi Korean instant noodles the most, followed by the 红烧牛肉面, the Chinese one. And lastly the Japanese one I had once or twice. I remembered making my own at the instant noodle factory.
Asian Cup noodles are almost a full meal. In Germany or at least most European versions cup noodles are rather a snack which don't help with hunger at all 😅 Not to mention they barely have anything special (no toppings nothing) yet they cost a lot compared to Asian ones.

You don’t do it in China. You can do it in Korea.
Koreans slurp too but it's not like it's some type of tradition.
@@campusrec4098 When I visited my Japanese friend in Japan, she told me I should slurp while eating... as though it was expected. I'll have to ask her at what level of 'should' she meant... She may have just been inviting me to a playful aspect of Japanese culture. || I'll update this post after she gets back to me.
Also, thank you everyone for you input on this question.
Slurping is preferred because it shows you are enjoying the food
The Chinese cup noodles look so appetizing I’d like to try it- I assume it tastes like the Indonesian ramen which are very delicious 🤤 btw what are the Chinese ramen cup noodles call?
Kang Shi Fu, and the most classic flavor is the red braised beef. Here is the Chinese: 康師傅紅燒牛肉面. If you bring it to the Asian supermarket, they may be able to find it for you. :D
Goon jai min
generally they are called饭便面 noodle of convenience.

Watching this video while literally eating Shin Ramyun with egg and slices of ham. Lol 🤣🤣🤣
Cup Noodles is my favourite because the toppings seem more filling. I went to the museum in Japan and got to make my own personalised cup. It was really cool. Shin Ramen is very popular in Australia so I eat it often, same with Indomie mi goreng.
I love korean one 🥺😍
After watching this video
KNOW the difference between
Chinese noodles : smells good
Japanese noodles : seems good
Korean noodles : taste good
I think we should take every scope of one of these to have smell , look and taste.
They’re all really good respectively, but different places focus on different things by culture, really good point you made there.
@@georgemill8822 your right I was just kidding
The Chinese noodles not only smells good but tastes good too. They already described the taste and it’s really delicious.
Great video 🇨🇳🇰🇷🇯🇵👏
I love the Chinese girl and the way she explains their Ramen, something very elegant about her.
개인적으로 중국 컵라면 너무 맛있어요. 근데 좀 느끼해서 살짝 질릴 때쯤 한국 컵라면 먹어주면👍
Asian people have amazing hair, it always looks so lush and silky
My favorite ramen is Shin Ramyun!🤩🇰🇷
As an American in the Midwest, I don’t interact enough with the various Asian cultures to know the subtleties and nuance. Now however, after starting to date a woman from China who is a grad student and by hanging out with her I am therefore by extension more exposed to a number of Asian students at the university that I normally would not have entered into the social circle of. I’m really staring to notice little things that harken to traditions of each country, small details and what they emphasize in food and other things. Even physical traits are starting to become more prominent, though I dare not ever say that out loud to them for risk of being tested and failing 😅
so cute and polite girls :)
Korean girls are always sooooo beautiful 😍
I think East Asian girl are Beautiful sweetie Pretty and Wonderful 😊look Nemo Zhang and Yuna Nuna
Very interesting 😀 Now I am hungry 😀 I am from Hungary 😀
I like Korean cup Ramen💕😛
It's funny because what Hyejin did with the Shin cup, I do it every time (except the lid).
The lid is interesting. Maybe it's because Koreans don't have a habit of picking up their bowls?
Philippines: We have lots of Nissin and Jin Ramyun in the Supermarket.
For me, I rarely find Chinese noodles but I eat the noodle named haohuanluo snail noodles. It has seven seasonings and spicy level is different.
But the deadliest spicy noodles for me is the Samyang brand Noodle.
They are all 3 so pretty and cute! They spoke like professional ramen eaters!! 😃❤️
I love all of 3 noodle and I want to include the Thai noodle as well because I love Thai noodle too so that make it 4
Great video Ladies you are all equally Gorgeous 😍 😘❤❤❤
That chinese brand of noodle are my favorite
The cup noodles always looks full of noodles, but theres usually a 3+ cm gap of air at the bottom D=
I have tried the chinese noodles and, for me, they are spicy
They sound so cute
다들 이렇게 사이좋게 지냈음 좋겠다
Love Nissin cup noodles since 30 years ago, hope to see more flavor developed... 😄🎉
All my favorite instant cup noodles😍😍😍👍👍👍
no one gonna talk about how incredibly cute the japanese girls korean was? 😭😭😭
Chinese lady seems more mature and respectful ❤

Cup of Noodles are everywhere in the states you can get them at any grocery store pretty cheap too. Though Korean noodles are starting to make there way over here.
Nissin cup noodles is the best!
I'm chinese and shin cup ramen is my favorite for quick instant ramen.
I preferred Nisshin when I was in China, while I’m a Shin lover right now in Japan.
I tried the Korean ramen (shin), it is SPICY!
I never put the full spice packet in, only half.
@@Yehooni like what? Shin is the best. Ive tried em all.
@@Yehooni yea. Trust me Shins the best. Its the coca cola of Korean ramens.

Hi to all the WORLD FRIENDS group. I have a request for you. Pls pls pls do more Korean Japanese Chinese videos. I just love this combo so much. Hope you’ll see my comment. Love from India 🇮🇳💜💜
I liked this video! The ramen are different each three countries, it was interesting! All of them sound good!
The three looks (dress, hairstyle, color) truly show the style of the three countries.
Nissin Cup Noodles is the only one available where I live(unless I purchase online). And I’d say it’s _okay_ at best. But then again, the product they sell here and the ones in Japan are different.
Eating with chopsticks is not So accurate but eating with hand is 100% accurate 😂😂😂😂

In my honesty, Korean ramen is popular but just monotone spice. I find Japanese ramen to be subtle yet deep flavors, while Chinese is heavy spices.
I want to eat cup noodles now 😂
Shin Ramen, Cup noodles etc... But they cost less than 1,50$
Nissin>kang>shin.
For kang, i recommend the purple packaging, preserve vegetables one.
Damn really? I really hate Nissin noodles. I don't actually like Japanese instant noodles much. Shin ramen imo is pretty bad too compared to some other Korean ramens. Kang used to be good, now it tastes meh and noodle quality is bad too.
But for these ones presented:
Kang > Shin > Nissin
@@flysmask
Only the series shown for Nissin is good, they have lots of ingredients as well.
Try north korea noddle's too with a north korean girl 😂😂🤣🤣
Not sure if Thai brands sell them out of cups yet but I usually go for WaiWai or Mama noodles. I think it should've been added since their broth is more seafood oriented(usually shrimp and lime flavor).
Wai Wai is Nepalese actually
Mama is really good and popular! But kinda too salty sometimes.
You can get mama noodles in a cup!
i live in norway, and we have that shin ramen here too. but I like the packet more than the cup one. noodles are thicker

I'm not Chinese or Japanese Korean, but i I ate cup noodle The taste of the tomato is really delicious and it is really hard to find in foreign countries and I sent it to my friend and it was really delicious.
I love the japanese womans bicolor hair 😊
Yakisoba is the name of a Japanese food, not a brand name. It's fried Chinese-style noodles with vegetables and other things.
I’m surprised that I’ve ate all. I eat the kimchi Korean instant noodles the most, followed by the 红烧牛肉面, the Chinese one. And lastly the Japanese one I had once or twice. I remembered making my own at the instant noodle factory.
I have the Korean one it is sooooo good no cap
i need to go stock up on all of these. i am hungry after watching this XD.
japanese noodles no. 1 super super yummy
No have experience
Wish you all have a nice day, love from china
Asian Cup noodles are almost a full meal. In Germany or at least most European versions cup noodles are rather a snack which don't help with hunger at all 😅
Not to mention they barely have anything special (no toppings nothing) yet they cost a lot compared to Asian ones.
