    I think role playing the class is the best way. Make a story around your character, where he comes from and etc. Pick a race to go with the story as well, and design your skills and gear around that theme.. It's far more fun than to copy some "meta" build.

      I completely agree and I most differently don't go the meta Like right now I play a heavy armor healer which can be a tank when needed and when switching to dps even tho I am magic base I like to go Great Sword.
      And even tho I actually have not made a profile about the charter I do like to make it like the Death knight idea on wow
      so I look at it as I was hurt and near dead in battle as a Paladin but twisted for a bit into a dark warrior and not after wining my freedom I am fighting for good even tho I may be using some less savory abilities.

    I love the intro "picking a class in any game has got to be the one of the most difficult decisions". ESO really needs the option to do the combat tutorial for every class / weapon combination before picking all those character creation sliders (assuming it doesn't want to allow players to change class whenever the player wants).

    I used to play wow for about 3 years. About 4 months before I stopped, I started playing a resto Druid and I had an absolute blast healing.
    Back in 2016, I jumped into ESO with my nightblade. I didn’t think NB was all that fun, tho.
    About a week ago, I got an itch to play a game where I can heal. Then I downloaded Eso and started a Templar.
    A week and a half now, and I’m CP 250 and having an absolute BLAST healing for my parties in PVE.
    I haven’t had this much fun in an MMO in a loooooong time!

    Thank you for the great content you provide for new players such as myself. I recently came into this game after trying to find something new and different with a lot of content. I must admit that there is SO MUCH content that I find myself confused a lot. However, thanks to your wonderful well written (spoken) guides I have figured out a lot. I have not made it passed lvl 25 yet though. I would like to ask though, what would be a good mouse to use in this game. I know this maybe weird but hitting keys on the key board seems like it takes away from me staying out of the bad stuff on the ground. What mouse do you use? Thank you again and look forward to more videos!

    I would really like to see a full playthrough from character level 1 to cp160. Specifically I would like to see these things:
    When to focus on specific skill lines and how to gain exp for them.
    When/where/how to grind exp from questing/dailies/generel grinding.
    When and where to get specific gear sets.
    Should the focus be on the main quest or side quests
    Is it even important to wear complete sets while leveling or is it better to just wear the gear that you find while leveling and only care about complete sets after reaching cp160?
    I know that some of this depends on the class you are playing but I would like some generel guidelines as I think this game is very complex and not at all beginner friendly.

    @SirBanana1992 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I was very happy with my first class suggestion by my friends when I started ESO as a DK. For one I love the tank role and they said DKs were really good tanks. Overall down the line DK checked all the boxes in what I like though. Shrugging off damage, being up and personal and unrelenting and sticking to enemies like an annoying mosquito they can't shake off and being absolutely NOT subtle (which is definitely also why the Lance is my favorite weapon in Monster Hunter). I also like really fast paced playstyles but that's not class-restrictive...and I also like fire so, yeah.
    I did try and have at least 1 toon of each class to experience all of them extensively. I am in the CP lvls with one of each since recently with necromancer being my latest. I can say personally from experience I now know at least what I like or don't like playing. Dragonknights and Wardens are definitely my 2 favorite classes by far while nightblades and templars are my 2 least favorite.
    Only things I'm really missing and hope to see properly introduced one day are barehanded and one-handed weapon skill lines. That would be great.

    Hey Adam great video!!! I did have a question though, I started ESO last year as a magsorc and it's not that I don't still like the class it just sort of turned me off that i still can't do much dps on it while following a build. I switched to magden as my main and while I still can't hit great dps with it I'm sticking with it I don't know if it's because I live to rp an ice mage or what it is but it's almost like I got bored of my magsorc. Wardens for me are bottom of the pack when it comes to what I like doing most to which is solo (imo of course). Should i go back to sorc. What do you guys think. I particularly like crystal frags as my spammable on sorc better than screaming cliff racer on warden. Thx

      Don’t forget that light attack weaving after every skill is part of your rotation and massively increases your Dps. Also, you’ll get more Dps as you get more champion points. CP plays a big role in Dps. It just takes time. You’ll get there eventually.

    Even after a few years of playing ESO I'm still trying to find the right class for me as I started off with Templar but the skills were a bit overwhelming for me, tried necromancer next and not a fan of most of his skills so opted for the flaming skulls and either fighter's guild crossbow skill or weapon based one but don't feel like I'm packing a lot of punch even with specifically focusing on damage output, recently tried out nightblade but I have a feeling that class is more melee based and I prefer to be a ranged dps and warden was pretty fun but not a fan of having to constantly summon stuff to keep my damage output flowing so kind of at a loss and need some advice I think, I do like ESO it's just the class choosing is rough. Basically I want a class that can somewhat tank and dish out a decent amount of damage from a distance and is wacky but fun I guess?

    • @IcequeenNarzissa
      @IcequeenNarzissa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The nightblade is definitely harder than Templar or Sorcerer, but no class is impossible to play. I started as a nightblade a few weeks ago and now I‘m soloing group dungeons designed for four players with ease - but it took a lot of practice, getting the right gear, rotation etc. It has a steep learning curve but it‘s not impossible. My partner started as a Sorcerer, and I saw him soloing a worldboss on level 20 - and mind you, he had no idea what he was doing, no meta build, no weaving, no perfect rotation, but the two verrryyy useful pets that tank and heal for you. You can solo stuff on lower levels easier with Templar or Sorcerer, Nightblade takes a bit more practice, and good gear, but you can solo as well. It‘s just not that easy on a low level or beginner - but if you know what you are doing, Nightblade is a crazy good class for soloing imo.
      So yeah, if you don‘t mind the steep learning curve and probably not soloing stuff designed for groups at level 20, go for a Nightblade. It‘s rewarding as fuck, and fully leveled with the right gear you‘ll burn down the enemies solo as well.

      Usually it's used for undeath passive and mist in pvp to be tankier - best choices manaplar, magcro, magdk, magden. Also works for pvp night blades, especially gankers cause strike from shadows passive and sneak speed. As for pve, I have manablade build with vamp blood for blood, works fine. It was nice until zos fixed mist form for pve, now it doesn't reduce dmg from mobs sadly. As for classes choose urself if u go go stam or mag. Vamp makes ur sustain harder, so I recommend go breton or imperial(from pvp perspective) if u struggle with sustain. However it's not a big deal, just choose race fitting to ur build more - mana, stam, tankiness.

    I have just started the game and just after the fighting tutorial as I have to lead Norianwe Outside I lock picked a room full of Weapons and Armour.
    Do I just take it all?

    Every class is fun and every class can play any role. Most people only want to play a meta class. I personally want to play all classes.

    I have 200 cp on my warden and I regret that I chose this class so much. I tried every role, but it was always boring or I felt like this class is lacking something. So far the story and the quests kept me playing, but the gameplay that I'm not enjoying is bothering me. And starting all over is soo bad.

    Class breakdown from Easiest to Most Complex in my opinion:
    1. Templar
    2. Nightblade
    3. Warden
    4. Sorcerer
    5. Dragonknight
    6. Necromancer

    Honestly, I don't care about the "theme" I usually care about how a class flows, how well it works, and so forth. So usually there is only one tip that makes sense: try them out. For me the one class NOT working at all was nightblade, it felt clunky and unfun. Necro is meh. All others work well.

    Had to stop playing ESO a few months after it released. I'm not sure if they've made major changes to it but it was ridiculously imbalanced. PVE was also far too easy. Temps are nearly unkillable if running resto staff as they can pretty much just stand there tanking then reflect damage back to the attacker. I was a DK using destro/resto staffs and I could solo nearly all content including doing 12 man dungeon runs by myself. Did it take a long time? Yes, but it was doable and I pretty much couldn't die while dealing AOE damage to everything near me. Things like that just shouldn't be possible in a well balanced game.

    I chuckled when I heard the nightblade was "advanced." I love my NB, but it's probably the easiest class to play.

    • @Maverick3681
      @Maverick3681 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My main is a stamblade and it's definitely a advanced class. Absolute beginners wouldn't know the grim focus and spectral arrow mechanics and also the best heal vigor comes from the alliance war tree. Night blades are also squishy so new players try to go the stealth, snipe route which works in overland but gets laughed at in dungeons. It's good for starting out in pvp though admittedly.

      The first I leveled is a stamblade (and I literally have everything at this stage and multiple of them). Yes it can be easy to play unless you want to play at higher levels. At that stage it becomes much more advanced. The easiest to play is stamplar by a long shot (magplar would be second easiest but again to play more advanced it is much harder).

    • @jimbeaux89

      Yeah dude a stamblade is pretty technical. At least for players new to the class.
