I only recently discovered your channel, but it’s quickly become one of my favorites. Combining urban sketching with comics is something I never thought of. I’m excited to try it too! Thank you for the inspiration!!
I love this. Breakfast with a friend and sketching sounds so comforting as was your breakfast! Looked so yummy! Thank you for sharing your morning with us!!
Thanks Deb. Hey I guess it does feel kinda natural. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been documenting my kids’ lives as comics for a few years now. Comics and videos seem to use the same principles of storytelling. Still, I’m learning something new every time I do a video, like giving enough breathing space between sentences and not making the music too loud:)
i love these videos so much, i always find it entertaining that your sketches ,even casual ones, end up in a comic page format! keep up the great work, you're an inspiration!
Yes it’s become a habit😅 it’s good, and at the same time I try to break out of it every now and then to expand myself. So sometimes I try to draw big to train my confidence in drawing bigger. Murals still seem like a daunting thing to me. Still, the time sequence element in a comic format adds that additional dimension to the sketches. And I like that!
Great stuff, I learn something from allyour videos. You captured a great likeness with such ease there too! I'm also flad you went back to the fans at the end, that from below shot of them is really nice. Great page, great video (again :) ) Cheers. Also, eggs and toast for breakfast, can't go wrong with that!
Hey Matt! I suppose not caring so much and relaxing did help me capture Roger’s likeness better😅 ha you like those strange fan shots too! Eggs and toast, true that!
@@Drewscape-art thank you :) ha, funnily enough I just got the Da Vinci brush I saw you use in the how to draw loose video! Looking forwardto givin that a bash. Can't go wrong with the grungy brush, I don't even wash it, just rub the tip till it's dry! Adds to the flavour, like a teapot!
Hi Lesley, thanks for purchasing it. The download is from my Payhip site and the book should be in your computer or phone’s download folder. Let me contact you via email to help you sort it out:)
@@Drewscape-art thanks for getting back to me , glad that I found it , really like your loose sketches , I’m always self conscious trying to sketch on public , but am going to try again ☺️
Now I have no excuse not to draw my food since I don't like it so hot. I can wait for it to cool down a bit while I draw it. Thank you very much for making me see that 😊
