Shallow Life es el quinto álbum de estudio de la banda italiana de métal gótico/alternativo Lacuna Coil. El álbum, que es el seguimiento de su álbum de 2006 Karmacode , fue lanzado el 20 de abril de 2009 en Europa y el 21 en América del Norte.
Antecedentes
El álbum fue grabado en el otoño de 2008 en un estudio en Los Ángeles con el productor Don Gilmore.
Scabbia señaló que el álbum "se siente más de rock" y que es "la perfecta mezcla entre nuestro viejo sonido Europeo y algo más moderno ... algunas de sus canciones son muy pesadas. La más sorprendente es, la que hemos sido capaces de mejorar todo acerca de Lacuna Coil, sin quitarle nada bueno o hacer algo que no pertenece."
Shallow Life es el primer álbum de la banda, que contiene referencias superficiales hacia estilos de la vida en el mundo de hoy. La canción "Spellbound" se estrenó en directo en el Soundwave Australian music festival en febrero de 2009.
En Europa ha salido el 20 de abril, así como lo ha hecho en Estados Unidos un día después.

I met them in Wilkes Barre p.a. in 2002 or 2003 Ozzfest and then in Allentown pa with Shadows fall in 2007. They are just such nice people. We talked with them and I watched how they interacted. But that's one thing I remember , how nice they were.

From Wacken 2009 I only know of the existence of this video, which belongs to the special dvd of that year, if there is the complete concert of Wacken 2007, which is published in an unofficial dvd together with the Therion concert.

Ferro really does sound like Cookie Monster. Unbelievable. I admire Lacuna Coil's fealty to one another, but damn, his vocals add nothing to (and actually make worse) at least 80% of every song he has solos or even back up vocals in. I can't even listen to the In a Reverie album anymore.

You are wrong. Ferro founded Lacuna Coil (They were going by few names, Lacuna Coil only from 97) with Zelati in 94 and Scabbia only joined in 96, first as a backup vocal but qickly arose to main vocals. But it is widely known that Ferro is bands anchor, in case he would leave, the band would suffer great loss and would probably cease to exists........
