lacuna coil do the best covers of any band i know, they're not 'epic' but just great renditions. her voice always compliments the song (especially in enjoy the silence)
Agreed. Her cover of Stars is way better than the original. I like her because she actually performs well live. I have never heard her voice crack or heard her go off key...Andi on the other hand (lol) Hit and miss.
honestly i was going to stop listening this cover because the beginning was just not good enough for me...I mean compared with the original... but when the man started to sing I decided to stay... and it was worth it, the second part where the woman sings was beautiful. Good cover 😊
LACUNA COIL LYRICS "Losing My Religion" (originally by R.E.M.) Oh life, it's bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes (The distance in your eyes) Oh no, I've said too much I set it up (I've set it up) That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight I'm losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try Every whisper Of every waking hour I'm choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt, lost and blinded fool Oh no I've said too much I set it up I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream Try, cry, why I think I thought I saw you try Consider this Consider this, the hint of the century Consider this, the slip That brought me to my knees failed What if all these fantasies come Flailing around Now I've said, and now I've said too much I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream Try, cry, why That was just a dream, just a dream, just a dream
Pretty cool cover of the original. I'd love to see some other bands do a cover of Losing My Religion like say, Disturbed or Korn (nu metal/groove metal version), Lamb of God (they'd probably get really interesting with it), or maybe even Manson.
I love the original by REM that I can't actually hear this song without REMs version playing... Shame, I'm sure it would of been a good cover if I don't know the original so well
I think everyone has heard the original by now or close to it. However I find this one to be more better due to the mix of female and male vocals makes it different and better. Yet the original by R.E.M. is still good it is yet not a very unique for the time it came out, plus it is more of soft rock not my taste. But to each there own!
Oh life, it's bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no, I've said too much I've said enough That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try Every whisper Of every waking hour I'm choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt, lost and blinded fool, fool Oh no, I've said too much I've said enough Consider this Consider this, the hint of the century Consider this, the slip That brought me to my knees, failed What if all these fantasies come Flailing around Now I've said too much I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream That was just a dream That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no, I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream Try, cry, why try That was just a dream Just a dream Just a dream, dream
Who are the people in the video if I may ask? I really adds well to the song but if they are part of a series or a movie then I would really like to know :D
It looks like a Goth/SteamPunk Clothing commercial. I will never understand why Lacuna Coil did not make this track into a video themselves. Maybe because the video couldn't be as good as R.E.M.'s video ... which was based on a short novel. It was pretty rad. Lol
My best friend left from our home town, and this is truly the song I played repeated that night. I'll sing this in his funeral. At his wedding, everywhere. I though that I heard you laughing. I thought that I heard you sing. I think I saw you try.

High fashion meets metal. I fucking love you creator of this video
Note to other bands, this is how you cover a song, make it your own! Love Lacuna Coil this band is beautiful.
I like a lot.
Got a Final Fantasy feel to it. Awesome band.
:o Hoo les salio increíble, es una de mis canciones favoritas y este grupo me encanta.
Perfecto.
Adoro metal gótico. Amei essa versão da música do R.E.M. Muito bem elaborada!
love these outfit
I knew Italians loved R.E.M, I don't know why I never saw this coming.
I like this band, but really laughed at the guy shadow boxing toward me. The tough guy image didn't work well with the song.
honestly i was going to stop listening this cover because the beginning was just not good enough for me...I mean compared with the original...
but when the man started to sing I decided to stay...

Good cover 😊
Ela é incrível!!
I love this song!!!
I love everything about this video and song. Maybe not everything but it is fine, fine.

"Losing My Religion"
(originally by R.E.M.)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
(The distance in your eyes)
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
(I've set it up)
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
I'm losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour
I'm choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt, lost and blinded fool
Oh no I've said too much
I set it up
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
Try, cry, why
I think I thought I saw you try
Consider this
Consider this, the hint of the century
Consider this, the slip
That brought me to my knees failed
What if all these fantasies come
Flailing around
Now I've said, and now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
Try, cry, why
That was just a dream, just a dream, just a dream

Awesome cover. I love how parts of her vocals are transposed to a minor.
Pretty cool cover of the original. I'd love to see some other bands do a cover of Losing My Religion like say, Disturbed or Korn (nu metal/groove metal version), Lamb of God (they'd probably get really interesting with it), or maybe even Manson.
Loving the outfits. My hat's off to the designer and team.

Very interesting cover butI actually prefer the original...
Great cover !
My best friend left from our home town, and this is truly the song I played repeated that night. I'll sing this in his funeral. At his wedding, everywhere. I though that I heard you laughing. I thought that I heard you sing. I think I saw you try.
Oh no I said too much.
I love REM's version but this version is great
i never had one so its all good :3
nice!
I like it, I think the original was good but in my opinion this has beaten it. I know many people will disagree but that's just what I think.
Better than the original
Great version of the song. Trivium also did a pretty bad ass version.
Final Fantasy 15
