@@Schaaf you say nimble but it seems to me like it's also graceful, I mean when you move from side to side you and the bike make it gracefuly, smoothly..
As a 73 year old rider of a 2002 1800 Goldwing thank you for the ride out at speeds I could not now consider, but it was magic. Thanks again. Reminded me of touring in Austria some years ago.
As someone who was born and raised in a hot, chaotic and dense metropolis, this video made me feel very relaxed. Thank you for making this video, Schaaf!
Just had this video pop up in my recommended list. I'm glad it did. Its a rainy day and we're supposed to stay home to avoid spreading the virus. So a pure ride on a twisty road with only the sound of that beautiful engine is as close as I can get to riding my 2009 Gold Wing. Thanks and 73, Mike
Thank you! Thank you! I've been praying for a raw video like this where one can enjoy that glorious roar as YT is littered with lengthy "reviews" with egotists in love with their own voices.
Wow! Amazing! It's nice to see the GW be ridden like that on a mountain road! 🤩 I love this bike, it looks so majestic and comfortable. And it's cool to see the warning lights turning on automatically when you brake hard (or actually quite hard). Happy birthday btw! 🎂🎁
I just turned 40 and getting my MSF course later this year. I am getting myself a GW for my 55th birthday. This was a sweet video, thanks for sharing and happy belated bday!
Is it weird that me, a 27 year old, wants to own a gold wing? :P I commute 140km a day for work but my current bike is not suitable. I want this thing just for those long commutes/road trips.
Riding is about the passion not only the motorcycle. Buy what you feel is fit for you, never buy what your friends or family think is "Cool" for you. Buy what can handle and stand with comfort. The BMW's like the R1200GS or the new bmw R1250GS will eat that road up like nothing and you have different rider mods that is suitable for traveling and adventure off roading as well. The top speed is also very good for a on/off road. Also the Honda African Twin is a very very nice motorcycle, caged around and the power/throttle response is there, it also looks very good and it also liked the long roads, handle bars are up high so your spine will be good on long roads as well. If you like the goldwing and can afford one without putting yourself in debt go ahead and buy it these engines are bulletproof if you take care of them.
Viewing I’m getting quite interested in Adventure Bikes, and the new Yamaha Tenere 700 has really peaked my interest. Seems good for commuting, great for off road adventure, priced lower than the Africa Twin, Japanese reliability, midsized so not overly bulky, and with a new aftermarket exhaust can get below a 200kg wet weight. Throw on some modular panniers and you have one hell of utility bike. There’s a lot of good options coming out!
@@Jabsy101 Good choice, Yamaha is really reliable as well. As long as you keep up the regular maintenance your motorcycle will basically last forever. Safe riding mate. My first cross over was the bmw F800gs, it had a decent top end for a on/off road, but these days i stick to the inline 4 Honda/yamaha.
I owned 2 F6B. This GW DCT should be the peace of cake of driving it... Wonderful video, the best I saw with no music. Only the best engine sound (perfect sound). Good job.
DCT transmission too. I likey! We must remember this is an iconic luxury touring bike, a Gold Wing. However the new design makes scraping pegs perfectly fine. Now there’s an after market titanium peg feeler kit available for when the mood strikes. 😜 Life’s short, just buy the bike.
So nice, thanks. This will be good to watch on a 50 inch screen. Nice view and nice sound. The sound is therapeutic and soothing to the soul. A good way of unwinding and relaxing.
The new Goldwing is a revelation compared to the last one. The DCT 7-speed is absolutely how this bike should be equipped. Sadly it costs more than my car!
Really enjoyed the whole video from the start. Nice work👍No talks, just engine and peg scrapping sound...nice. please make videos about riding harley..especially dyna fxdls and ultra...
Love how you handled that bike.A little more clearance would be nice then it would carve even better but maybe slower around the corners is safer and wow that torque delivers super fast excelleration !
Great riding skills. I see getting a used one in the future. Not a bad price compared to equally equipped competition and probably last much longer with fewer issues.
I had a Honda Elite 250 scooter back in 1989, freeway legal and super fun. This thing is like a scooter on steroids!!! I'm buying a 2015 F6B as soon as I can find the color I want, can't afford the newest model. Maybe in a few years.
You captured the sound very well. I am doing a video tomorrow for my manual 2018 Goldwing and will have the mic inside the cockpit, not the helmet. I think some goldwing owners swear that their goldwing does not make a drone sound. They must have their hearing aide on mute. All sports bikes make a drone sound. I want to determine if my drone is louder than normal, otherwise I am perfectly happy for it to drone, because drone means power :)
Also man kann ja sagen was man will über dieses Ding, aber es hat auf jedenfall was und ich würde das gerne fahren... aber wenn die 6 Zylinder einmal durchgeladen werden das hört sich einfach nur episch an😍😍
Must be the smoothest gear shifts i have ever seen and heard on a bike so far. I guess it must feel like driving something between the Indiana Chieftain and a GS just by looking at the video. Sadly never driven either before so just conjecture on my part
Ya I can hear all those scrape sounds during fast sharp turns but what I like bout honda compared to all motorcycle out there is you have your side mirrors out front from the handles and connected to turning signals the rear view mirror are out of way a and no blind spots
Its riding a Honda metropolitan 49cc , that I love ,, where I had this "dream" of a rocket horse,,, this is it,,,, this Goldwing is the "rocket horse" ,,, I feel like one of the Wright brothers, seeing an F-16 for the first time ❤️🤗
Mega cooles Video 👍👏. 😳🧐
*Riding like a King ;) The tight twisties start at **2:40** !*
@Mike Taglione thanks! Nope, that's probably why I was barely scraping ;)
3:04 with headphones gave me chills

Schaaf: "Peg scraping a Honda Goldwing!"
It has low clearance though, I swear ;)

My dad does that with his Goldwing XD
Just back from a 5 day Alps tour, and nicely surprised by how many GW can be seen. Wonderful bike. With DCT it must be pure pleasure
it sure is!!

Thanks for commenting!
I never thought I would watch let alone enjoy a 'Goldwing video!, it's not my cup of tea but an iconic bike. Cheers, Steve
Much appreciated! Thanks Steve
Now I know why it's called a Goldwing.....
It can fly ! 👍🏍
Damn. I love this video. Im laying here on my couch just listening to that purr. Sounds like pure freedom.
great!
Yu should it with headphones
I bought mine 2018 2 weeks ago and I love the sound in sport mode and manual shifting awesome
nice!!
This video is mesmerizing. The sound and fury of the Goldwing at speed and the fantastic video of the turns is magic.
Wow, i didn't know you also drive cars!
Hehehe

Thanks!
This is definitely the ultimate Cadillac of motorcycles in this form. Wish I could have one. 👍

Nice that you ride within your "vision". What a bike.
yea
