Love the chemistry and the humour - I grew up with canal holidays and the first thing I could steer was a narrowboat aged 7, back in the '60's. So . . . two amazing coincidences here ! My wife and I spent the night in the beautiful Lockhouse at Lock 42 in Marsworth @ 7:00 in the video. The wonderful couple who lets this beautiful home on Air BNB, served us an amazing English breakfast in the morning, and after, we walked down to the three reservoirs. I met some fisherman there who informed me these were used to supply water to the canal, which very much intrigued me. That morning, we then drove down to Blackwater Meadow Marina situated in Ellesmere, where we picked up our Hire Boat from ABC Boat Hire, to sail up the Llangollen Canal to Wales. The people at ABC were FANTASTIC!. About 2/3rds of the way up, we too, encountered a Narrowboat pulled away from one of its' mooring pins, and we pulled to the side and re-tied the boat, pounding their loose pin back into the mud. The following morning I awoke, turning 60 years old, and celebrated by crossing the amazing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a memory which will live forever as one of the very best days of my life. Thanks so much Shaun and Colin for this one, it brought back wonderful memories of my first-ever Narrowboat experience, (cooking spaghetti, watching Downton Abbey, touring Chirk Castle, crossing through two tunnels, aquaducts and locks) an experience I hope to enjoy again as soon as we are finally over this health crisis.
Hello lovely fellas. Beautiful vlog.....all those reservoirs and the Tringford history.....really interesting. I’ll never eat a Mars Bar again....thanks for that! 😁 Loved the locks you progressed through on this trip.....feels a bit gentler then around London. Well done on the Wild Teasel rescue......lam sure the owner would have really appreciated your kindness. ❤️ Take care. 😘😘😘
Oh my goodness, that little porthole in your stern cover thingy (the base of the pram hood), is absolutely marvellous. It’s perfectly located for a curious puppy wanting to see what’s going on. Brilliant idea. 🙂🐿🌈❤️
Colin, the mind boggles as to what you can do with a Mars Bar except eat it !!!! Lovely to see how Otis is growing, he's one very lucky dog to have two great dads to care for him. Great video guys, love the choice of music for this one. Take care of each other and stay safe. The Davids.
Hi you three, that was so kind of you to rescue that narrowboat, even though it was in your way you were still kind enough to treat it with respect and make sure it was put back on it's moorings. Otis is looking cuter every vlog bless him, he really loves the camera. You were in Aylesbury area, I was taught to fish on the Grand Union by my lovely Uncle who has since left this world to try fishing in the blue beyond. Thanks guys for another fantastic vlog and "Foxes to the rescue" again, Colin hero of the day dives off Silver Fox to pull the boat out of the way of the manic wide beam bearing down on it. Thanks as always for the historical info' and as usual great fun. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Such beautiful scenery on this one! Not that there isn't always, but today along with the music, and of course the historical info made such a fantastic video. You two are just the best! Otis is getting so big, so fast. It won't be long before you can't pick him up anymore. Get in all the cuddles you can while you still can!
The shots across the bow--"you can't say that!"--were interesting. I'm fascinated by the movement of the water around the hull. It's like watching one of those videos of a fireplace, something one can watch for hours. Showing the bow of "Mad hatter" a few seconds after was a great contrast. I like the "cutter" style straight stem. The "rescue" sequence was a good thing to see as well. Other vlogs don't usually show stuff like that, but you had the presence of mind to demonstrate one of the most attractive aspects of the narrowboat community--the obvious caring and mutual support. Keep on doing what you're doing, and watch for low flying swallows, especially those carrying coconuts.
My usual Friday afternoon dose of fun and frolics. I so understand colin's randomness and shuan's reactions it very much mirrors me and my husband. He very much delights in derailing my train of thought at times but understands and doesn't judge.
Amazing videography on this channel. Absolutely the best on youtube. Love to see the old brick buildings canalside and learn some are still being used. Keep the scenic vistas coming while you are skedaddling along trying to beat the closures. Tummy rub for The Otis.
Great vlog again, liking the gentle, less manic,(well, suppose it could get manic with you having a ‘Cape and Lycra’ mission to get where you need to be ) calmer canals as opposed to Thames, though I loved the posh houses you showed us all.good on ya for sorting Wild Teasel out,bet the rude wide beam would have stayed there until somebody moved her if you hadn’t.😡Can’t wait for the next episode of Mr Poopy Shirt and Cake Face are on a Mission 😂 xx stay safe
Excellent video. Excellent entertainment value. Excellent cinematography (yes, really) And you two are just comedic genius. A laugh a minute. Even more

Wonderful to know you were passing my local area , interesting about Train robbery in 1963 . The farm was around 20 mile from robbery site and really isolated .. Farm has now a different name i believe to stop people coming to have a look . Another interesting VLOG guys .

Thanks so much, Peter! Yeah, avoiding the swallows now 😂
Birdie birdie in the sky,
Why did you do that in my eye?
I'm a big boy, I won't cry,
I'm just glad that cows can't fly!🤣

My usual Friday afternoon dose of fun and frolics. I so understand colin's randomness and shuan's reactions it very much mirrors me and my husband. He very much delights in derailing my train of thought at times but understands and doesn't judge.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍😍😍😍
Amazing videography on this channel. Absolutely the best on youtube. Love to see the old brick buildings canalside and learn some are still being used. Keep the scenic vistas coming while you are skedaddling along trying to beat the closures. Tummy rub for The Otis.
Wow, thanks!
Mr Poopy Shirt and Cake Face 😂😂😂😂😂
Your vlogs must be the most relaxing on the internet.
Wow, thank you!
Another great vlog lads plenty of history and narrowboat salvage take care both of you and otis and thankyou
Thanks 👍
Love the music choices and editing, and the added audio of rippling water. Nice touch. And the olde-to-current transition photos, awesome.
Thanks so much, John.

Fabulous save Colin, was holding my breath as you stepped off the bow! Shaun held Silver Fox perfectly and together you will have made one owners' day. Someone will let them know even if they don't watch this vlog.

My mum always used to say it was lucky if a bird pooed on you 🤷🏻♀️ I think what was lucky was that it hadn’t been eating blackberries 😊 Otis is really growing isn’t he? He’s absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for another wonderful video x
Lucky for the bird. Direct hit! 😂
Well done on moving the Wild Teasel, Teazel or Teazle from across the canal...love you guys 'cause you're not rude and wouldn't ram someone to continue your journey

Your rescue operation with passive onlookers is the perfect picture of our today’s Society. 🧐🇫🇷🇩🇰
We agree!
You two are so funny! Love your clogs. ❣
😊 thank you
I've been wondering where the water. Comes from on the higher parts of the canal system, so glad to have that explained in this vid!
Glad to help!
Fascinating history, sumptuous autumnal video, Otis growing and enjoying life, cheeky sidebars, superhero rescue, lockapalooza,, and a mission! Doodadooodaaadooo! Thank you Lads!✨❤️✨

You guys are such good blokes.... rescuing boats and deers alike. 😀😀😀
👍🏻💜
Wonderful to know you were passing my local area , interesting about Train robbery in 1963 . We live 10 minutes from leatherslade farm , As Was , where after robbing train brought themselves and the cash to hide for a few days . The farm was around 20 mile from robbery site and really isolated .. Farm has now a different name i believe to stop people coming to have a look . Another interesting VLOG guys .
Wow!
Love all your candid shots lots more of otis please 🙂🙃
🥰
We love your vlogs and look forward to watching them! We live in Marsworth and I drive under that bridge every day to and from work, I’ve never noticed that sign 🥴 Colin your great, thank you for being so open and honest about your mental health and issues and Sean thanks for censoring Colin 😂 xx

Gots go watch it again! With your accents, I miss stuff first round so I do a double view! 💟💟😘to you both
Yes, there was nobody on it
So enjoyed this blog: humor, the excitement of the narrow boat loose and blocking the canal, and the stunning scenes with music. Thanks for all you do to make these videos so special. 💜🐶🧡
Thanks so much!
Great as always guys. Love the shout out to volunteer groups and the little history nuggets. Keep it up, don't ever change, stay safe.
Thanks again!
Entertainment at it's best. Nice one lads and otis

Thank you for our Saturday morning giggle. Rich thought he was the only one who knew about Wetwang.........oops, had to be careful of predictive text then! Thanks to you we are off to buy doughnuts now. Miss you guys xx
Haha! Enjoy your doughnuts! 😋 (Missing you guys too) xxxx
Good on you for the boat rescue.
🍁
Thanks 👍
I have always said that one day I would live in Wetwang... but now I have found a place called Fangfoss I am torn ! Thanks for the vlog guys great as usual !
Gotta be Wetwang. Fangfoss sounds very vampirish 😂
Another great video. I ordered one of your calendars and I got it the other day. It's beautiful. Great job. I really need to get over to England. I'd love to drive around and see the old village's. Being on a narrow boat would be better. I'll add it to my to do list. I better hurry up. I'm not getting any younger. I'm going to be 69 in March. Keep up the great video's.
You'll love it, Dennis 👍🏻
Your out takes are hilarious! Keep them coming! P.S Don’t try and get your vlogs word perfect, we love you as you are! 😁❤️
Aww, thanks, Suzanne!
Very disappointed that we didn’t get to see the Lycra shorts and cape, Colin. Lovely countryside. 😃👌👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️

Thanks so much, Keith!
Best boat name I’ve ever seen, on a large classy boat? Try Morning Flatulence! True. 😂
No way! 😂😂😂
True!! It was one of those moments you chug past, admiring the beautiful boat, casually look at the name and choke on your cup of tea! Great Haywood junction many years ago!
Another great vlog gents nice to see Otis growing well
He sure is
Watching your vlogs always puts a smile on my face. Many thanks for that! 😄💕
Are you sure that’s us and not the gin?
