2012 Summer Olympics in London is objectively the best, the second best in my opinion is the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (even though it's a bit boring) because Japan is my favorite country.

As a random french person, i thought this ceremony was overall pretty confusing, embarassing and waaay too long. Also, i get the will to be inclusive but this felt like half of it was a gay pride parade. They did a bit too much with that.. This did not represent french culture, this was a very specifically parisian blend of cliches. Sorry to the rest of the planet for this mess, we really gave a poor image of our country with this messy spectacle.

Tbh, when that scene came up while watching, I didn’t make any connection at all with the last supper; I just thought it was meant to be a fashion runway. I didn’t appreciate the flamboyance and aberration of gender roles in that and other portions, but I never saw it as something meant to mock Christians. (I’m Christian, btw.) I do think that most of the creative portions were unnecessarily weird and seemed to celebrate things I find morally degenerate. There were many great things in this opening ceremony, but I disliked the heavy liberal touch. I’m okay with some pieces that aren’t to my taste bc I recognize the planners are appealing to a broad audience, but most of the pieces were, at the very least, lacking the poise and beauty I’ve come to expect for welcoming respected international guests. At worst, they were morally degraded, celebrating immodesty and irreverence. I would never recommend kids to watch this. I was uncomfortable in many parts. Literally the only reason I stayed to the end was to see the lighting of the Olympic cauldron (which was really cool, at least).

Tbh, when that scene came up while watching, I didn’t make any connection at all with the last supper; I just thought it was meant to be a fashion runway. I didn’t appreciate the flamboyance and aberration of gender roles in that and other portions, but I never saw it as something meant to mock Christians. (I’m Christian, btw.)
I do think that most of the creative portions were unnecessarily weird and seemed to celebrate things I find morally degenerate. There were many great things in this opening ceremony, but I disliked the heavy liberal touch. I’m okay with some pieces that aren’t to my taste bc I recognize the planners are appealing to a broad audience, but most of the pieces were, at the very least, lacking the poise and beauty I’ve come to expect for welcoming respected international guests. At worst, they were morally degraded, celebrating immodesty and irreverence. I would never recommend kids to watch this. I was uncomfortable in many parts. Literally the only reason I stayed to the end was to see the lighting of the Olympic cauldron (which was really cool, at least).
