What was Alucard's thoughts and feelings living for so many centuries, fighting alongside the descendant of his past allies Trevor (1476) & Richter (1797) and facing his father for the last time? Also, what is Dracula's thoughts during this event?! So many questions need answering!

I once wrote a thrash metal song as a new track for my band at the time. It never got properly recorded or even performed live, but I always thought it was pretty good. It wasn't until recently that I realized it was really similar to Wicked Child, and sounded a lot like this arrangement - maybe it had nested in the back of my head since I was a child playing Castlevania :)

A retcon is something retroactively removed from the timeline. A Reboot, is literally a restart. Never intended to be part of the original timeline, always intended to be it's own restart of the series. Like Casshern Sins. It discards all previously established by Neo Human Casshern, or Casshern: Robot Hunter, and makes it's own story. They call it castlevania because it is their re-imagining of it. The issue here, is Konami was not sure whether to make LoS a Castlevania game, or an IP.
Actually I did the leg work, the original sketch is by Kojima, it was just fan colored, then they added a back ground and such with filters. Damn rare scan though, took me forever to find it.

That is Yoko, Demon Castle Wars is being just a reference there's no official art for it. These character artwork are all featured in Dawn of Sorrow OST.
An anime of Castlevania would be epic, but only if it had Hirano Kouta (Hellsing) & Ayami Kojima (artist for SOTN) doing the character designs together, and the guys who did Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust actually animating it. And they kept the bad/awesome translation that is in SOTN.

Retcons should be avoided when possible. Reboots I honestly have little problem with, especially for a timeline as confusing and convoluted as IGA's. sometimes its nice to just make a fresh start breaking from the previously established timeline, just to start over. It certainly worked for Casshern Sins, and I think Castlevania wont really be hurt by another Timeline running parallel to it. on lament- it actually GAVE him an origin. otherwise, he has like 5 different conflicting ones, or none.
Well thing is, Symphony's origins arent origins pe-rse just his motivations for his campaign against humanity. Lament is his actual origins. he became Immortal as revenge against God for taking his wife, and then, when Humanity took his second wife, he declared revenge on them.
@FlameG102 Huh, I hadn't heard that version before. I tend to stick with Rondo of Blood / Symphony of the Night's version of things because they were practically the first Castlevanias to actually have any storyline in the gameplay. Is that version of Dracula so bad? He comes back because humans want him to, he loved a human woman, cares for his son, and actually has a very good point about religions being just as bad as him.
@metalj But then again I believe it's possible to kill Dracula in every game using ANY weapon including a crappy throwing knife. You have to wonder what the point of the whip is. It was only needed against Walter in Lament of Innocence.
can you imagine a Castlevania game where you play as a soldier with his army entering Dracula's castle, fighting in God's name, just to stop the Nostradamus, by destroying the dark lord and his evil creatures? That could be the Demon Castle War!

Julius was about 18 at the time, (55 during Aria) and given Yoko is much younger than him, (24 in Aria) she wasnt even AROUND during 1999. to put it In layman's terms, Demon wars were in 1999, and Julius was 18. Yoko was -13 at the time.
i already knew the other two were julius and genya! i just didn't know she was yoko because i never saw her in a blue coat. i suspected it was her, but i wasn't sure. sorry for asking, sheesh.

If this song is on OCRemix, then I can't find it. There's three Remixes of Wicked Child and none of them sound like this. This one is credited to Scaredsim but I don't even see it listed under his name on OCRemix or on his official site.
Thing is, Brahm Stoker's charatcer Dracula, is itself only LOOSELY based on the actual Vlad Tepes. Tepes was, from what I gather, not a bad ruler. before LoI, Legends was his origin. He was just some old sorceror or summin who made a pact with a demonic diety to become immortal and conquer the world. Its a pretty weak origin if you ask me.
Thats a reboot. thats different. LoS is a completely new timeline seperate from the old one. and as things stand, gaes IGA has retconned are "gaidens". to be fair, the 64 games had some crazy shit. mainly, modern stuff that wasnt around, or wasnt as further along the line in the 1800's.
