Anything that could be lore accuracy in this show goes through a blender and comes out as incoherent mush. The barrow-wights shouldn't exist until the Witch-King of Angmar (the same one Eowyn and Merry kill) sends them to haunt the graves of Arnor. And the W-K can't exist until Sauron gives a rebel Numenorean one of the Nine Rings and corrupts him for a few centuries. The Nine haven't even been created yet in show canon! And even if the Witch-King did exist already, and had sent barrow-wights to destroy the people of Arnor (which also doesn't exist yet, because Numenor hasn't been destroyed) ...the thing about only killing them with their own weapon isn't established lore. It would be pretty inconvenient if you're facing an army of undead and you have to stab each wight with a different sword, right? Not to mention, how would you know which one is which? I have so many questions. Why is Tom Bombadil in Rhun, and why would the stars be different there? If the showrunners wanted different stars, why is not-Gandalf going East instead of South? Why are not-hobbits in this story at all? How did everyone start calling Mordor Mordor? Do they have some kind of social media where they shared an update? Where did the volcanic Cheeto dust go? Why would Sauron call HIMSELF Sauron, when it's a moniker his enemies gave him? Why is the extremely powerful fallen angel Sauron ASKING the orcs to choose him, like a politician at a rally, instead of ordering them? Why would Pharazon's faction take Manwe's eagle as a sign of favor, when they're King's Men who hate the Valar and everything they stand for? More importantly, WHY are the elves giving a tainted Ring of Power to someone who has been "deceived" by Sauron? (She deceived herself imo, but still.) Why is Elrond the only one with any common sense? How is Sauron able to predict and plan for everything the elves and dwarves will do to perfection, when he is not supposed to be clairvoyant?

Heck, the Barrow-downs aren't even downs.
Exactly right. There's so much wrong with this show, it's breathtaking. Incredible comment, thank you.
