    I did the same with a 10' uhaul truck. The roll up door was a challenge, aluminum buble insulation worked well for me, i also used 100% silicone roof coating on the exterior of the roof and when wet applied the aluminum bubble wrap on top and ot works well. Get down to 40 degrees 90 deg day in the sun with an 8k ac unit

    Used bed frames are an excellent way to source thin angle iron for a project like this. It's thin enough to cut with a hacksaw but strong enough for many projects

  • @allonesame6467
    @allonesame6467 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You are building skill and materials know-how. Perhaps check out load stabilization hardware called E-Track to keep totes from banging into the foam insulation. Or...You wouldn't necessarily have to build solid walls all the way around. Maybe just tap in several 2x4s at each level where the totes might hit the wall. RVers use Dicor self-leveling lap sealants to seal seams on exterior roof or walls where panels meet. Love all that you share. Keep on!

    Hey Chef Mike, great vid! Was going to ask if you can do a vid on how you deal with critters, mold, mildew, and so on. I just got spider mites on my tomato plants for the first time in years, and now im spending all this time watching vids and reading about it instead of being out there doing stuff. Would love to see how mitigate these issues at your scale because I thrive and am motivated to get to your level one day

    What generator do you use to run it when at market?

    • @chefsharvestfarm

      I don’t actually use a generator. The city provides power for the farmers market. So I just plug it in when I get there.

    Think I understood you to say your air conditioner was an 18,000 BTU unit. How are you plugging that in when you are at the farmers market? All of the 18,000 BTU units that I can find our 230 V.

    • @chefsharvestfarm
      @chefsharvestfarm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@terryburns8917it’s definitely a 120v I may have misspoken… it might be 15,000 BTU. But the chart I posted is from the cool it website. So they tell you exactly what size AC unit is needed for specific sized cold room. You can refer to that chart when selecting the proper sized AC unit. The farmers Market I attended supplies 120v or 230v electrical for vendors.
