Idk about specifically skull cavern speedruns but there's something about the sheer amount of skill and optimization that is just so satisfying to see imo.
For the maze idea, why not commission a bunch of people to each make their own maze? Each person only makes one, and they have a month to make it so they can come up with something creative. That way you only have to make one yourself. You could commission like 9 people and then make one yourself and that's 10 mazes

Yo, can someone tell me how you get the large explosion radius with the slingshot? I use explosive ammo and all i get is the small radius of a cherry bomb size.
I don't know the exact reason but it's something about how mines generate floors, basically it's predictable what is going to be in a crate to a certain degree
I'm curious: when buying seeds, is there a reason you hold Shift to buy 5 at a time instead of Shift + Ctrl to buy 25 (like the 145 Pumpkin seeds at about 41:40)? That could save about 20 mouse clicks, I think.
i tried the animation cancel for like an hour and couldnt get it without failing 5x in a row each time first, the buttons are awkward for it. (also, is it possible on console?)
people usually set macros on their mice to animation cancel. not sure if thats what haboo does, but it does make it faster! especially when moving your cursor around
@@spinnever I believe he explains it many times during streams (saw it once in his WR VOD): he remaps the keys, so that he's still has to press all the keys, but remaps just make it easier to press. IIRC he remaps Delete to Space and both Right Shift and R to shoulder buttons on his mouse respectively. this setup is quite easy to replicate, and how I do it on my playthroughs: just keep pressing the shoulder buttons with your thumb, and press Left Click and Space alternately. this way you can learn to time the alternate press to do the actions consistently once you master it, there's no way you want to play Stardew Valley without animation cancelling. bye game controllers
No, it is not possible on console. I did find that you can hammer crush (idk if that's what they call it, but the name I'm going with) on console. But it's not nearly as fast as using the mouse wheel. It's rapid pressing vs moving a finger up or down. But does work if u can mash fast enough

I do not understand why he doesn't like to break gray stones in mines, they not only can have a staircase to the next floor, but with a 100% guarantee drop one, or more stones
How come you never put a chest outside the elevator at the mines? After every 5th floor, you can store items there, so you can pick up even more items over time.

it's hardcoded into the game, so he's just rebound the keys to his mouse. some other people do use macros to AC, but I'm not sure what they are.

He is playing on an older version I believe it is 1.4 but I could be wrong.
Most people speedrun 1.4 since 1.4.1 changed the explosive ammo mechanics, making speed running a lot less fun
