You should try something similar using the worst luck modifier. It'd be interesting to see just how big of a difference the luck modifier makes on the Mines
Specifically: Every rock destroyed has a base chance of 2% to spawn a ladder. This is adjusted by Daily luck, increasing by 2.5% at best (0.5% of which is added by the Special Charm) or decreasing by 2% at worst. It is also adjusted by Luck Buffs, for example food buffs add 1% for every point of Luck. A hypothetical player with max daily luck and +1 luck buff would therefore have a 2 + 2.5 + 1 = 5.5% base chance to spawn a ladder for each rock destroyed A max 5% chance to spawn a ladder in this case (before rocks are broken, as chance goes up with the fewer rocks that remain), since you wont be doing secret note 20. With bad luck and still consuming luck food you'd walk in with 1% chance to get a ladder from a rock. That means instead of having to break ~20 rocks on average you'd have to break ~100 (before the increasing chance, realistically a few less in each case). But yeah, it'd make a run like this nearly impossible and beyond frustrating.

@@flinty8121 it doesn't matter. The only bundles possible either require you to get gold star summer crops, or obtain an ancient fruit. The summer 2 is assuming no remixed bundles, but even with the remixed bundles it would require even more absurd luck to overcome than the normal bundles.

I'm not sure of the exact answer to your question, however I have seen a relevant video that I can't completely remember which will help answer it probably. The Stardew creator called BlaDe has a video about the mines which is probably worth watching. He also has a video about a predictor he made (a mod) which includes ladder spawns. I believe the answer to your question is (again im not 100% on this so use the above videos to check): no you can't guarantee it, but you can predict where it can spawn and how large the chance of it happening is depending on certain factors.

No. A hidden feature of getting to floor 120 increases all monster health in the game. Stopping at 115 would be better until you'd actually be ready for skull cavern. You can't unlock the bus to the desert until day 7 at the earliest.

He didn't. He edited out of order. Watch the amounts closely. You'll see that he uses the 2161 for the pickaxe, which leaves 161. And when he's at robin's, he enters with that 161 and ends up with 32xx.
He’s animation canceling. I don’t really understand the specifics of it, there’s plenty of explanations here on TH-cam though. Essentially he’s getting rid of the whole pickaxe swingy thing, which makes him much faster. Sorry if that’s kind of a janky explanation. 😅
40% is nothing to me. I consistently lose on 80%-90% chances in many games. When I play this game I have made several new saves because I don't like the design or am unhappy with my plans and only ONCE have I had rain twice during the entirety of the first spring. *ONCE.* And please note that it's scripted so that you get one day of rain guaranteed during the first year in spring. I usually go the entire summer without rain as well
There's a key combination that cancels the animation for swinging an axe or pickaxe. It's three keys, I believe one of them is the 'delete' key. Google 'animation cancelling SDV', that should give you the info.

Most rocks in the dungeon actually don't give mining XP, only when there is an additional item like coal or geodes, you get mining XP.

i think it’s because he has the salads and spicy eels already, which in terms of energy and health replenishment is far better in the long run.
It wastes time getting something they don't need plus it does take up valuable inventory space.

You could use a staircase but if you don't have a staircase you have to kill everything
