If I gave it up tomorrow the club wouldn’t care less, I wouldn’t be getting a letter saying thank you for your support down the years. Us fans are loyal to our clubs, shame the clubs don’t show the same loyalty. £750 for a season ticket, not bad really but that’s it. I don’t buy anything inside the ground, overpriced beer, burgers, surprised they don’t charge me for having a piss at half time. Then I have to watch players like Sterling on £300k a week. For £157 you would expect £77 worth of things in addition to a seat. You should be getting a sit-down meal with wine, plus half time drink and a place to enjoy a beer after the game with TV screens to see the results and highlights from other games. If it's just for the seat, it had better have heating to keep your backside warm in the middle of winter, it had better have a head rest and there had better be free programmes, free invites to watch away games in corporate areas three times a season and several chances to meet club legends etc etc. Plus Christmas gifts from the club shop, a free shirt with a chosen name on the back, a free scarf and hat in club colours.
For that price, I'd be asking for a limousine to pick me up from home and drive me to and from the ground, maybe picking up 4-6 others on the way to make it cost-effective for the club.
You need to have more money than sense to even consider paying that much.

    1) Ray is clearly clueless on this topic. A "hike" means a large increase. You don't expect a "hike", otherwise if this occurs year on year, more and more people are priced out. And he literally said that straight after Natalie saying Brentford had freezed prices.
    2) The sad this is, there may be enough wealthy people in the area to pay it, but you start to lose fans who love the club, and the atmosphere will deteriorate.
    3) Kahn's not exactly gonna wake up and think he's bang out of order is he. These prices will simply be determined on supply/demand

It's been another thing ruined by the middle and upper class university types who have the money but don't have a clue about anything (other than to ruin/destroy things).
If the biggest cost in football is players wages and these STILL keep rising then the best or only thing to do would be to put salary caps in across Europe whilst simultaneously stating that ticket and merchandise prices need to drop considerably (means test it if you want) for lower income families.
Any surplus revenues should be forced to pay off debts and to go to lower League clubs.

157 to watch Fulham! Fulham of all teams! what on earth no team should be able to charge 30/40 a ticket per game and no more it’s ridiculous, it should be capped!! The premier league governing bodies should step in and cap it along with wages! So then fans don’t get hit by ridiculous pricing for games or fans don’t get taken the mik out of the supporters it’s ridiculous ticket price rises are becoming a joke, I starting to think fans should start boycotting games to force clubs to reduce the prices!

I see Tony Khan letting his AEW brain influence his footballing decisions. I think there is something to be said about clubs being bought by people that don’t understand the local fans. Not saying owners not from the area can’t understand the club’s culture because many do but I think there is something to be said about for example a Tony Bloom from Brighton owning Brighton. Sometimes this money obsesssd culture in football is ruining the game for the average fan. I do think maybe football should just go back to the local community but that’s not feasible anymore sadly

Football fans need to stop being hypocrites. Just as an example which I know doesn't impact PL prices, The outpouring of support I saw on here for Frankie De Jong to get paid his ludicrous lump sum held back by Barcelona last Summer when he had already been paid a fortune and the indignation of Barcelona to honour a contract De Jong and his agent would have played a major part in upping the ludicrous salary was bizarre enough. Now you're complaining that Clubs have to up their ticket prices. You can't have it both ways. Maybe next time football fans should stop and think about who's picking up the tabs of these overpaid players and that by supporting players being paid out on their contracts, you're only supporting ticket price increases.
