As a kid in the 90s, I could rewire and splice all my earphones/headphones no problem! NOW! I'm convinced tinsel wiring is a gimmick to get us just give up and BUY a new set lol. Thank God I'm not the only one who sees how big of a pain this is

Am I able to use a soldering iron and reconnect a wire on my headphones back to the motherboard? I tried a new battery, but I noticed a wire was not connected to the motherboard. It came loose somehow.

As long as it has the correct number of wires in the cable and you match them up properly so the plug is connected the same way as the old one it should work fine.

You should be able to strip the wires back a bit and resolder them to the circuit board if the pads weren't torn off.

Bruh... You don't need to change the whole cable. You can just put the ends of the cable on fire for a few seconds and the fibre will just burn off and the copper will be left exposed.
BTW I'm 14 and more knowledgeable than you. Pls do some research before making videos. I appreciate your work tho.

@@NearFarMedia Sorry for the mean comment But I just wanna say that you should do some research before making these videos. It would help out loads of people.
Like people wont have to purchase whole new wires and attach them but just solder the old ones.

@@esham5796 I am sorry *but* why are you trying to reply to a negative comment posted 2 years ago?
Also, a person who tries to guide other people voluntarily should have enough information themselves on the topic they want to guide on.
What he is doing in the video is equivalent to somebody installing a new carpet and because their new carpet has a bit of an extra edge, instead of cutting it off, they throw out the entire carpet and buy a new one which is the exact shape of the floor.
