It is remarkable. The instructions do recommend centering the conductor in the clamp but it is not bad regardless. The AC meters, and perhaps the AC function of this one, I do not know, have a much less difficult time of it of course :)
That's no good at all. The seller or manufacturer may be able to help. I'm assuming you have a good battery in it. Mine was fine, I have no idea beyond that.

It also matters how accurately the multimeter reads it. He connected it to a Fluke, so...
Im surprised how precise that clamp is, given that it measures magnetic flux. Its really well calibrated.

How does it perform on high current DC?
I am yet to measure particularly high currents with it. I would expect it to be fine.
How is it on A/C?
Have not tried it yet.
