Aoraki tahr hunt May '23

Unfortunately, Coralie was crook with covid, so she couldn't come along with me on this adventure. I was still in recovery mode, too. But it was such a nice day that I couldn't resist getting out and chasing some tahr. I really enjoyed planning the hunt on the topo maps first, and then it all played out as I hoped. It was nice to capture it all on video, too. The close-up footage was taken through a small Kowa spotting scope, but the kill shot was just using the phones camera. It's pretty impressive really!

Always great when a plan comes together. Are you travelling around and hunting and tramping, perfect. Does your caravan have enough fridge/freezer space
