An old school trick to stop engine rotation while trying to remove crank bolts rotate engine til start of exhaust stroke, push in a nylon rope make sure that piston is above the exhaust port so u don't damage the piston rings, once you have put a fair amount of rope in the cylinder then slowly turn crank til it sets firm then put on your socket onto nut then remove nut or bolts, now years ago they use to make a piston stop tool that screwed into the cylinder, but alas that's no longer available, but remember make sure no rope goes past the port, and use a fair amount of nylon rope, and put rope on side that your removing the bolt or nut from in this case or video right side for stalker plate and clutch removal use in left cylinder. Old school poor man's trick
I use that trick on chainsaws. I won't lie, I forgot about trying it on a sled. I'm not a fan of piston stop tools, they can damage the piston crown. See it first hand.
The cracked stalker is from accessory over heating and yes these coils do get extremely hot and weaker with age, so more accessories and age the more issues you will have,
Any recommendations on cracking free Allen bolts? I'm having issues with the fork bolts on my v-star. I think I'll have lots of issues with rusty bolts on it.

I use sea foam penatrant ! It's amazing good,
