- In this video, I show you how I imported custom images as the boot up logo screen images on my new 12.3" Android Screen in my 2016 Mercedes-Benz W205 #C300 C-Class. I sent the 1920 x 720 images to #DMPCarDesign and for a fee, they converted them to boot logo images that can be imported onto the #Android screen.

Nice video. Thanks to your previous video on this new 12.3 Android Screen I ordered one for my 2016 E400 W212. A little bit disappointed the new screen doesn't have animation boot logo capability like my current Android 10.25 version 11 screen. But still the screen seems to have so much more features and faster than the previous Android 10.25 version 11 I have. DMP car design has been incredibly awesome answering all my questions. Yeah. I hear yah but it’s licensing issues. You can always do a custom image with DMP and I think they can do animated boot logos as well.
@@TheFlexxGarage Unfortunately according to DMP animation not available. But DMP did provide me a file with some picture boot images they currently have. Once I install the new screen I'll load them and check them out. However, they did mention use windows for the process not MAC. So, I'll have to find me a computer with windows for the USB file process.
@@TheFlexxGarage Did you use Mac or windows to perform the boot logo action for your new Android 12.3 screen? I ask because DMP Car Design sent me a link with a few boot logos that already have. However, in the instructions they suggested to use windows not mac.
How does it feel like after using it a period of time? is it as smooth as the OEM system?

When you press import boot, does it straight away look inside the usb? Or can you store it locally and access it there?

How much did they charge you to make a zip file? This is something that would be easy to create with any PC. I have the code for my factory settings. Are they just BMP files zipped up?
They are not just zipped files (let alone just bitmap files). These images have to be converted to a specific size and file type and placed in a specific folder type with other files that will allow the screen to use them. It’s not something you can do your own. It requires a specific conversion software. I’ve tried many times trying to do it myself before finding out DMP had the capability. And I’m pretty tech/PC savvy as well.

Sadly, every time i try to find a video, that at least show me what tipe of file “jpg,dmp etc” i need to put in my usb to let the radio find the new logo, they never let us reach this information WHY? 😢

Can't you just try this by outputting various image formats* from a preset photoshop design? Can it also do animated gifs?
If it was that easy, I would of done it but the system requires more done to the files before they will work on the screen. I know…it’s kinda lame.

The whole video is about that. Those are all custom from DMP as I explained in the video. They made me a bunch but I only installed my logo custom image on my screen.

all screens are different depending who you bought it from and which version software. You need to contact the reseller who sold you the screen for the code for their screens.

Not all screens are the same. You would need to contact whoever sold you the screen for an update. If you bought from DMP, message them and they’ll send you the file or tell you how to do the update.
Do you know if Dmp will have s a Black Friday sale?
DMP is not based in the US so Black Friday doesn’t really mean anything to them and all their international customers. They rarely have sales but you can always use my discount code to help take some off the products. 🤷🏻♂️

Where can I find the image 1920x720
You create your own image or you find any image online that you like. Resize it using you computer and then send the file to DMP.
I'm not going to be able to walk you through resizing an image. There's many ways to do it and there's tons of videos online how to resize an image.
