Hé Misha, How about insurence for Dutch cars? As far as I know, there is not a single insurence company that covers the Nürburgring. Yet, a lot of Dutch people drive TF (including myself)
I'm from switzerland and I have the same problem. I pay more than 2k $ a year for these insurances for normal road driving but as soon as I step onto a "racetrack" NOTHING is covered, yeah not even for TF which is not a race. En het advies om de eerste keer met een instructeur de Nordschleife op te gaan. And the advice to go up the Nordschleife with an instructor for the first time.
I have a question regarding insurance on your rental cars. What does the insurance actually cover in the event of a crash? The reason that I'm asking this is because I know that there was a customer that had crashed one of your cars and he had to pay for a percentage of the damage. So I'm just wondering how it all works. Thank you and hope to visit the ring (and Apex) one day!
Hi! Like every rental car company in the world you are insured, but have excess/deductible that you are liable for. So suppose the excess on the 218i is €9.999 Scenario 1: You spin out and tap the barrier slightly with the bumper. You pay 500€ for the damage and all good. Scenario 2: You got so excited that you sent the car into a Bugatti Chiron that was on the track and destroyed both. The damage is a bit more than the first 500€. You only pay max €9.999.
You mentioned that you need a drivers license and a credit card. Ive heard that if you rent a car you have to provide a credit card for insurance purposes...is this the case? And how much money does the card has to have in it?
As here in England we are just starting a new national lockdown which will probably last until the end of March or April nobody will be able to travel for several months. 2022 will be a better bet.
👍 I'll plan my trip when I feel a little less uncertain that 2021 isn't going to be cancelled. BTW, I didn't even realise that it's the day observed as the birthday of Jean d'Arc, and I live in the city where (King) Charles VII sent her. 🤦♂️ That's how messed up my attention span is with the way things are these days.

And which hours, 9 to 11 am?

@@mgcharoudin It's a difficult one. In the UK at least PCR tests are expensive and at a million vaccinations a week it'll still take a year to vaccinate the country. I don't have answers as to what's right but for something that is non-essential to the customers (playing) and essential to the staff (being paid) then I wonder what will be normal for the next year?
@@mgcharoudin Sorry, probably add I'm not trying to be a pussy here but in the UK we have a lockdown untill probably March, a million infected and 500 people people died in one day. So traveling for fun seems irresponsible unless I can guarantee I'm not going to infect someone. On the other hand businesses need customers and if we all stay at home bankruptcy is no joke either.
Hi Mischa! Good content as always Feel free to remove this q if you want to answer this on a summit video or so instead. I have a question about barrier damage How big crash / damage does it have to be to consider as ”barrier damage”? Have seen som dents ( and purple schratches ) here and there on the barrier And can i buy insurance for that as well. Peace 🤘
When you bend barriers noticeably you have to pay for damage because they need to replace it but i don't think anyone pay for barriers when they bump into it slightly and just cause scratches. They don't replace barriers for scratches.
I was wondering if the track during weekdays, any other time before 5pm and after 7pm is it fully closed or partially open at sections. If open at sections, does it function like the track, ie single lane / direction?

It's a difficult one. In the UK at least PCR tests are expensive and at a million vaccinations a week it'll still take a year to vaccinate the country. A test also only shows someone first have covid on at the time of taking the test... Spain requires one to enter the country.
2021 here i come
Hi Mischa! Good content as always
Feel free to remove this q if you want to answer this on a summit video or so instead.
I have a question about barrier damage
How big crash / damage does it have to be to consider as ”barrier damage”?
Have seen som dents ( and purple schratches ) here and there on the barrier
And can i buy insurance for that as well.
Peace 🤘
When you bend barriers noticeably you have to pay for damage because they need to replace it but i don't think anyone pay for barriers when they bump into it slightly and just cause scratches. They don't replace barriers for scratches.
Hey, Misha. Does Germany cover driver licenses from other countries, outside the EU? Asking for a Brazilian friend, you see...
Yep!
@@mgcharoudin Alright! See you as soon as I can save some cash!
I was wondering if the track during weekdays, any other time before 5pm and after 7pm is it fully closed or partially open at sections. If open at sections, does it function like the track, ie single lane / direction?
It's fully closed
@@mgcharoudin I am guessing that the people help run the track (like manning the marshall post, entrance etc) have day jobs?
