Im in indiana too!!! We dumpster dive. Im about 30 miles east of indianapolis. It helps alot!!! We do it for food. My husband works im disabled. We are a family of 5. We were just above guidelines for any assistance by a couple dollars. If it werent for dumpster diving, we would b in trouble.

I hate to see food thrown away, there's always people in the community who don't have enough food to eat, it's heartbreaking. Keep up the good work....I almost forgot, there's a place in the next town that take flower donations from nurseries, stores, weddings and where there's lots of flowers for whatever and they make bouquets and potted flower baskets etc. and donate to the hospitals. They came one day when my mother was there and they also gave me a beautiful potted basket, I think that's a great idea.
Beautiful roses,I have been growing new roses from the ones I found. Just use rooting powder and a lot of patience and you will have new rise bushes in a couple years. They will go out in the greenhouse when I can get to it.
Maybe they don't have a wife … BUT they could have certainly taken the flowers to an old age home or nursing home - that's where I take the flowers … they can never have too many between the rooms of the patients with no family, putting them in common areas like the dining room or even using them as prizes for bingo … to many of the people there, it is the ONLY thing that brightens their boring, sad day!

I went out early this morning. About 1am. It was so cold and icy outside. I stepped one foot out of the car and slowly slid completely onto the ground! I slid around, trying to be quiet and get up at the same time. On the plus side, I was eye level to the bottom of a bed and body works dumpster, and spotted a few frozen, FULL, body washes. When I finally got up, Score!!!! They smelled awesome! That slick trip to the pavement was well worth it! Lol!
When you get maters especially cherry ones, you could can them or make salads! I dive Huntington,west Fort Wayne, and Roanoke every week and bring home a 16×8 foot long trailer full to the hilt of food,drinks, household items,cat and dog food,plants, and etc.!!!
@@karenowens8287 I have 2 upright deep freezers and 2 refrigerators!! I donate half of my pickings to 3 churches and 1 shelter house for women and children in my local town that I reside in!! I also can and preserve veggies and fruit and cook up concotions and can that up for food supply!!
@@karenowens8287 I ain't all that goody-goody but I just can't stand people starving and going without and especially our four legged buddies ya know!! I just do it cuz it's the right thing to do ya know!!! It's called human decency and respect!!

I remember when I was a kid we got Xmas PJ's on Christmas Eve and wore them the rest of the winter- washed often of course ❤️😄I hope you know someone with little kids that could use them.
we use hand sanitizer can not work camera with gloves - we do have a grabber- and we norm have totes but do not bring them every time depends on what car we drive at the time
I hope you donated the clothing (especially the children's) to the women's domestic violence shelters after all children live there with there mommies. They leave there homes with just the clothes on there backs. In other words, they have nothing.
Yes we have a local free store we drop items off at almost daily as well as 2 blessing box,s and the food pantry I have 4 kids also so we do keep some items as well

In the us do they not reduce food that is going to be hitting its end by date?

We are at 0* for temp here in Sioux Falls, SD Everything is frozen ! For meat and some dairy it's ok but for fruits and veggies it's killer.
