We need to be able to vote as individuals on issues like term limits, banning assault rifles and abolishment of the electoral college. The South talks about State Rights during the run-up to the Civil War, but in reality the North was having their rights violated by the Fugitive Slave Act which stated even the lowliest citizen has a duty to return any runaway slave to it's master, even if slavery was illegal in that state. The Confederacy required slavery at the federal level, overriding States Rights. Conservatives will use any means at their disposal to keep the status quo for themselves, hypocrisy be damned.

It's not amazing at all. It's been happening since America was founded. The South talks about State Rights during the run-up to the Civil War, but in reality the North was having their rights violated by the Fugitive Slave Act which stated even the lowliest citizen has a duty to return any runaway slave to it's master, even if slavery was illegal in that state. The Confederacy required slavery at the federal level, overriding States Rights.
Conservatives will use any means at their disposal to keep the status quo for themselves, hypocrisy be damned.

I have friends from EP and all I can say is this is a toxic tragedy and despite the horrific aftermath, they know this wreck will be used as a political standpoint and it's unfair this will be used as a pawn in a political game when to those affected, this is not a game. Its their lives, their animals, their water, their jobs, their health and THEY ARE MORE IMPORTANT than a red vs blue bingo game.

I have family in Northern Ohio and trust me, they consider DeWine to be one of the biggest mistakes that the state has made in decades. I am not saying that Ohio becomes blue tomorrow, but like Georgia, they are trending that way with recent decisions, like prohibiting a ten-year-old rape victim from seeking an abortion after dragging the case out until it fell just outside the "cut-off". They kept finding "mistakes" in the filings until the date had passed, then told this ten-year-old rape victim that she had to give birth to her rapist's baby. Then, after she went to Indiana for the abortion, the state as embodied by DeWine tried to file charges against the clerk that gave her mother the help to go to Indiana. Then they tried to file charges against the doctor. Then they tried to file charges against the ten-year-old girl and her mother. Then Indiana tried to file charges against the doctor and the girl's mother. This is the future that the GOP envisions for girls and women, The Handmaid's Tale on steroids. Vote Blue for me and you and save America from these fascists.
