    How much training do you do indoors?

    • @JordanMacTech
      @JordanMacTech 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All of it apart from 3 weeks before a race where I then do cycle/running outside.

    • @jovanphan6738
      @jovanphan6738 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      90% indoors. more convenient and less blood!

    • @pye088jp

      3-4 months in the winter and the occasional session after that

    • @maikholzhey6167
      @maikholzhey6167 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Almost all of it, except for the 'long' bike ride. 5h indoors is just not fun. Samorin challenge with Lucy Charles and Sanders winning, shows that indoor training seems to be the new way of training...

      @rafaelmondini 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Only when the weather outside is really nasty. Otherwise, I prefer hitting the road.

    “There should be no such thing as ‘This is not ideal for me’. That’s just a mental block that you’ve created for yourself. And so anytime you ever find one, that’s a great gift because its an area to improve upon.” - such optimism and focus on continuous improvement. Words to live by.

    • @urbanciber6839
      @urbanciber6839 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but its boring. I want te get out in the nature. I dont want to stare in to a wall

    • @MattDion
      @MattDion 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a fine excuse, but that's not the point. This quote is much broader than exercising indoors.

    • @urbanciber6839
      @urbanciber6839 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't use that as an excuse. Dont get me wrong mate I just stated why may people rather train outside. It's not about just getting that power, its about enjoying life and sports. I live in a place where there is zero traffic lights. But i do agree that some indoor training should be added to every training plan.

    • @urbanciber6839
      @urbanciber6839 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also its important to train outside on the hot sun, if you don't the Kona sun will kill you :D Sanders stated many times that only training indoors hurt him in the few races.

    This was an awesome interview. Indoor training is great for busy families. My wife and I work opposite schedules a few times a week and being able to train indoors is perfect with 2 kids. I can get a run in on the treadmill and if i need to tend to the kids i can just hop off and get back on when the 'crisis' is averted. I just need to get a bike trainer or a set of rollers now.
