Seriously. Absolutely Correct. Women of all ages and races have more friends and have stronger bonds than men. There's benefits there. HOWEVER the other side of the coin are women that are led down the rabbit hole, by women with less than stellar character and morals.

Or wife too. Unless one of you is being psychotic or having problems, you should trust and care for each other first. Rash decisions about change are the absolute worst thing to do. Gambling a loving relationship is stupid, and even if there is a rough time or you don’t feel sexy/loved or horny you still shouldn’t act rash. Sometimes things happen and you need to fix them. Unless you just made a bad choice then usually one or both of you are physically or mentally ill if someone is having problems sexually or intimately. If you had a great loving relationship for a couple months or years at least, then usually there is a fixable problem. But both people have to refuse to act rash, attack the other person, give up, betray them, or refuse to always put them first. They have to refuse to act on bad thoughts, put love and effort in even when you are in pain or struggle, and when they make mistakes and fail (genuine mistakes that aren’t malicious or insanely careless). Usually if you have logical and loving trust and respect for each other you can both acknowledge the problem and fix it. Wife wants more sex? Okay maybe I’m having medical issues or I need to drink more water or I need to relax or I need something else. That’s it. We both trust we are honest and will never blame each other and we will offer time to explain. Assume the best and the most innocence. If you are wrong later you can discuss it or leave them. Never assume they acted maliciously or even negligent to a certain level unless it’s like major betrayal.

Friends opinions very often carry no responsibility. And they'd always nudge each other first to put up the encouragement.
Girls in a group normally do not have any serious matter to talk about. They are often together in frivolity. And there's always one Devil in a group of girls. Queer ideas are often touched to discuss and laugh about.

The second someone brings up an open relationship in a monogamous is the second your relationship is over. So don’t waste any more of your time and break up immediately and move on with your life. Life’s to short to waste your time with someone who doesn’t share your views and feelings.

Any time the words, 'Open Relatioship' come out of anyone's mouth, the end result is always the same..., break up, divorce, and hurt feelings. Then the one who proposed the 'idea' is left to figure out what happened and the one who it was proposed to feels like their loved one has lost any love for them. NOBODY WINS!!!
Play stupid games..., win stupid prizes. Also, lose your 'friends' as they don't have your interests at heart.

Let me repeat these stats from divorce lawyers. Less than 3% of marriages are open and 93% of open marriages fail. Simple probability would therefore tell you that an open marriage has around a 1-in-470 chance of being successful. So why do people really think this "make us stronger" or "keep things exciting"? Open marriages have effectively no chance of working.

It's the same thought process of "rules for thee, but not for me" people just assume that won't happen to them. That's why 99% of women who willingly leave a good man always try to crawl back into his life when the grass isn't greener

Only women believe that bullshit that an open relationship will make the relationship stronger, that's BS, if you love your woman, knowing that other guys are screwing her, believe me, will not make your relationship feel "stronger" that shit is an excuse women use to convince their husbands to accept this shit. Open relationships or open marriages for the most part only benefit the woman 99% of the time, because she's the one who'll easily have dozens of guys willing to stick it to her the moment you agree to something like this, while you, even if you're good looking and fit and wealthy and if you're lucky, will have one or two girls, while she'll fuck one or two different ones every night if that's what she wants, tell me how "strong" you think you'll be knowing that, no man who loves his wife and himself will accept this garbage, only a husband who doesn't care about his wife because he already has another, would be comfortable with this kind of garbage relationship. Making the relationship stronger is the biggest lie after the typical "it was a mistake, I love you".

  • @brettmbrad
    @brettmbrad หลายเดือนก่อน +2

As soon as they ask for an Open Marriage, they have already cheated or have someone in mind to cheat with, it's never a spur of the moment decision without options already lined up. At this point you just need to end the marriage because they will either cheat if you say no or harbor resentment for your unwillingness to try something new. Either way you're better off without them. Open marriages cause more divorces then improve them.

After the discussion of the open relationship he could have just terminated the relationship. But that would make for a short and bunt story. Instead, for the benefit of the viewer and for a longer story, he taugh her a lesson so she would not repeat the mistake with someone else and maybe even question any free suggestions. Which is the take away for all of us to consider when handling anything we are considering in a relationship.

Melanie is another modern gal who THOUGHT she was the "prize" in the relationship, and Tom could never find a better replacement. This scenario is typical. The gal is convinced her guy will tolerate her infidelity and wait for her to come home to him. She never thinks he'll be able to find even ONE date, while she's out there going out three times a week with different guys. It's only when he finds his FIRST gal that she realizes things aren't working in her favor. Hence, the back paddling.

You Sir dodged a bullet. Thank your lucky stars she droped this bomb prior to marriage. As a lawyer im sure you know is much easier and a lot less expensive to rid yourself of a cheating fiance than a cheating wife. If she is so easily swayed by her idiot friend now you dont want to see what your married life will be like. Light your path forward with the light from the bridges she set ablaze behind you. I'm sure it hurts and that sucks but better now than after the marriage.

This is what it is men. Albeit a fake story it is accurate. In most cases where the woman asks for an open relationship, she does not expect the man to actually see anyone. For a woman, the purpose of an open relationship is for her to cheat on her man with his permission while she still has a grip on the financial security he provides, house, car, money, etc

I would have said "I can not agree to an open marriage instead how about we get a divorce and when you have found yourself we can get remarried and start a new beginning" then began the divorce without alimony and an even split. Then once the divorce is final I would move on and find someone else.

I would paraphrase the whole thing and let her sign it, especially because it's her idea and she's pushing it. That could become quite an issue if the wedding will be canceled.
And then go like what's right for the goose is right for the ganter. Your marriage went through the drain in the very moment she came up with this 'open' thing.
Marriage is exclusive, and so an open marriage is a contradiction within itself.

It's funny how it's all sunshine and roses for an open relationship until the guy calls their bluff and shows how replaceable women are. And yes, if there was a story about a guy doing this to a woman and that woman arranging a date in front of the guy, it would be funny, too.

Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Tom is a lawyer with money and power. Laura is a librarian with books and a decent salary. Marriage is a commitment to one partner only. Tom was ready, but Laura was not. It is good they called off the wedding.

Single women keep other women single. How weak minded do you have to be to be manipulated by your friends and disregard your spouse's/partner's opinion?!? If im being honest and my gf/wife ever suggested an open relationship, I'm leaving that relationship. No ands, it's, or buts about it. That's just a fancy way of saying "I want to cheat with no consequences." This dude is lucky this conversation took place before they got married.

another insecure and easily influenced woman by her "so-called friends" ... another story of pain and misery of a broken relationship that would have been a perfect marriage if their relationship had stood this test ... emotional immaturity is the most common reason why people lie, cheat or they do other stupid things and after the curtain falls they wake up and realize that they have lost the most precious thing which is hard to find, a reliable partner who is fully devoted to them, always 100% ready to give them their all, and just like that, they threw it away under the influence of some broken "friends" whose lives are probably already ruined, by their own bad decisions from their past. Misery love company .. so for this woman ... hope she learn from her mistake to move on .... if not!!! she for sure will help in the future to another insecure soul to find a way into their club of misery, same as her "friends" helped her to join their "perfect society of broken".

I find it hard not to see it this way: The friends feel their lifestyle is threatened by her monogamy and/or ability to have a viable relationship with a man. (similar to how detransitioned people can be ousted from their previous trans communities because their detransitioning act is contrary to the community's belief system), thus they encourage her to go for an open relationship. They're trying to align her with their own outlook on life instead of letting her have her own. Sad :/
The way the story is told, melanie does show genuine regret. I'm suprised tom isn't able to see this. How certainly does he know that it is melanie's friends who put her up to this? In this situation I wouldn't call either the decision that he made or forgiving her unreasonable. It looks as though melanie didn't really understand what she was doing. However, I find it suriprising that she called her family over and not telling them what really happened (as far as this story tells she didn't really inform them). That may be an indicator against my observation.

Open marriage is not a marriage have a Open relationship dont get married thats not love its Lust. We all have those feelings because humans are emotional you cannot stop how other sexual partners might get to involved with their emotions. One partner will go along with it more for the sake of the other eventually cracks will form. One will always want it more ,sorry but it's a recipe for disaster it's selfishness destroying long term for short-term fleeting excitement 😢
