Your videos are so helpful. I get a lot of backlash about my 4c hair texture and it just leads to me getting sad and frustrated and neglecting my hair because of not knowing what to do with it. But watching your videos give me ideas on what styles to do💓

I think it depends on the person and how they take care of their hair. I personally wouldn't consider a slick style protective on me because my ends are exposed and are prone to break, but some people wear slick styles often and their hair retains length just fine. However, slick hair styles that are tight can cause tension and breakage, so more damage is done than protecting.

Okay see this makes sense I was thinking the same thing like technically I’m not touching my hair but my ends are out so at the same time it’s not securely tucked away like most protective styles!

But how do you get the front sections to pack with the back section😭, I always have that problem and I don’t even know what to do at this point

Layers! Each layer gets products and then I just work fast when putting it down and the scarf helps me secure it into place 😅

I feel silly asking this because I've never worn my natural hair slicked down, but what kind of brush is this? Having trouble finding brushes that aren't for detangling.

No worries! It’s a double sided brush so one side is softer and the other one is harder. I get mine from the beauty supply store!
