Those shoe boxes make great storage boxes. I have covered them with themed scrap booking paper or decoupage. They are on the studier side and can keep all kinds of stuff and they stack well. Once covered, they look like the expensive decorator boxes that cost a lot at stores.

I also have covered shoeboxes I have used cutouts from magazines and even scrap fabric with mod podge I have some I have been using for many years
