- The TBR TZ350 - it's an awesome bike to ride, beautifully built by Eddie Roberts and Ally Grant - enjoy riding with me for a few laps of @knockhillKnockhill in the wet, one session when I didn't actually crash it.
Action photo: Bonnie Lane - thanks for standing out in all weathers, much appreciated.

brilliant mike
nice to see you back on a TZ350 again !!
Cheers, shame about the weather the spectators loved the bikes.
Looks pretty scary
One less tooth on the rear? That place has changed so much, I thought it had a bridge out the back? Last raced there in 1992, Scottish Regal Championship with Jim Moody and all his headbanging mates. It was wet then, not surprisingly.
I would have been there too Graham, I did the SS600 Regal championship.
Hope you are ok after the crash, I was almost crying watching the bike burn.
Eh?
Unfortunately on the opening lap of the actual race, from pole position, I crashed and the bike caught fire.
Cool. What's the reason people rev the bollocks out of 2 strokes. Do they bog down or something? Had an rd350ypvs in 85 but can't remember revving it...but I guess race bikes a different breed.
Your YPVS had a big spread of power without a sharp rapid increase in power because it had a power valve, which altered the height of the exhaust port as the engine revs increased thus increase the mid range power. YVPS stands for Yamaha Power Valve System. Look power valves on TH-cam interesting stuff.
@@MikeSpikeEdwards Thanks for the reply Mike. I'll have a look.
back with an old friend ??
A brand new, old friend 😉
