With NFL draft now behind us, it’s time to dive in to one of the best teams in football. Acquiring Jermaine Burton in the 3rd round, while still keeping Tee Higgins via the tag, the Bengals seem to be poised to have one of most explosive offenses in the NFL.

A lot has to go right for the offense for a change. First Joe needs to be healthy in training camp and the whole season for a change. Second the line has to step it up and become at least better than average. Third we need a real running game as last year no one respected it and as a result Joe was under a lot of pressure (less sacks but a LOT OF HITS). Fourth whoever plays the slot needs a big year because the short and intermediate routes coupled with the running game opens up the deep shots to Chase, Higgins . Fifth, Pitcher needs to be a very good OC and add some wrinkles, motion, 2 tight end sets (we have 5 TEs). Sixth, Anarumo needs to get the defense playing well to give the ball to the offense with better field position. Nothing to it see! I jest. But the offense has never really completely blossomed. Usually 1 good half and 1 bad half. sometimes like last year just bad the whole game. We need to play complementary football not just chuckin' the ball 35 or 40 times a game. Look at the teams that made the playoffs and look at the Bengals (bad defense and no running game and no Burrow)

It could happen, after all the Bengals were not expected by anyone to go to the Super Bowl three seasons ago. My biggest concern is actually the running game. It needs to be better, and on defense can they stop the run without Reader. I hope the nose tackles they drafted turn out to be good. We'll see.

Man…, I just hope #9 and the key parts stay healthy. That’s all I can ask for. I trust the talent. I think beating the raiders a few years ago, kind of got that monkey off their back for the city.

I will say this about Zach. He might reference the past but he doesn’t live in the past. He spoke facts to a great player (Burton) and it has nothing to do with TB. TB earned his money in Cincy, he got paid to leave. That’s all that needs to be said. Receivers drop balls. Stud receivers make spectacular catches that 99% of their peers don’t. TB is one of those 1%ers. His career in Cincy won’t be defined by his drops.

The Texans game was not lost by the Tyler Boyd drop. The defense struggled immensely all game and it is very unlikely the Texans would not have gotten a TD. Also, 5 three and outs in a row.
On the bright side, I am very excited for this season. I think our defense is much better. Mike as TE has me very excited, and the O-line finally looks good. If we can get past the Texans in the playoffs (and Burrow plays well) I think an SB dub is likely.

I think Burrow had be fighting a wrist injury and as he’s won’t to do he’s secretive and private. He lost that game because he refused to admit his arm was broken

I like the analysis, the Zach Taylor comments were definitely a bit of a reach. Everyone in this organization absolutely loves Tyler Boyd and he would not be sneaking shots at him, that's just a major thing that college scouts look for at wide receiver.

@@bsewell513 Yep its all over you tube all the highlights from the last few seasons... I'm constantly seeing Touchdown Tyler Boyd!!! and him catching DEEP Passes too!!!! When the defenses started covering deep that put pressure on all the receivers... Borrow through an Interception in the same game that Boyd Dropped the Game breaker touchdown... Wasn't much time left but you never know if the Texans would just throw it deep we definitely had a problem last year with deep passes...
