I wish Linda Dano the happiest of 70th birthdays. She doesn't look like anyone's idea of seventy and she certainly doesn't act it. More importantly,she is,and has always been, the classiest yet most down-to-earth lady anyone could have the pleasure of meeting. She is smart,warm,generous,and deeply committed to her fellow human beings. In addition,she is a fine actress who,to my mind, deserves every award for which she was ever nominated.
A fine actress and an even finer human being In the early '90s,I often watched Linda Dano as Felicia Gallant on Another World,then watched her as herself immediately after on Attitudes. She was a gift to daytime television and a gift to me. Thanks for the memories,Linda.
Boy, the day when soaps had great leading ladies with their OWN well written stories -- not just telling some teenager to stop having sex..... Also, I TOTALLY miss the way the lead & supporting actor/actress categories were so well showcased with such long clips....... Why does everything in life just get shittier as time goes by????
Those little circles they put the nominees in...weird. At least they showed a full clip, which they haven't done recently. Such wonderful acting in those clips; Julia Barr stands out the most in that scene (and of course Ellen was superb in her story). I think Linda said she was on the backburner for a year after she won the Emmy.
I was suprised that Ellen Dolan from ATWT did not win. She was amazing in her story...never watched AW so not sure about Linda Dano but she overacted in her clip that was shown. The actress in the clip with her was better.
With all due respect, Linda Dano did an amazing job and was totally deserving of the award that year.

Dano was always great on AW, but Dolan was robbed!
