It certainly is one of the best trails for a long weekend. The great thing is there are places to duck into if the weather turns or if folk are feeling poorly. I did this during a heatwave, and it just drains you. ATB.
@@fittappintrails8731 yeah you certainly had some great weather. I did the drum-cannich stage - pretty uninspiring so you didn’t miss much! I stayed at Alltbeithe hostel which was great.👍
Great video Tariq. 👍 Nice to watch a proper vlog from ya rather than seeing your pics up. Looked a great trip like. Always fancied that trek like. 2 fine pitches indeed like. 😎 Ken what you mean about the Lanshan like. I've not used mine in a long time. Prefer the Pyramid tent.
Hi Kevin. I have punted this trail to Robin. I think the two of you would enjoy this hike. I have bought a Durston 2-man tent, and hopefully, I will get out this year with it. The camp site down by the Loch was superb bar the wind. The second campsite would have been better had the ground around there been dry, as there was a stream further down to wash in, too. The Osprey rucksack I used was sold to a guy in Australia.
Kev I bought the tent for $339 plus $162.82 taxes and duties, and shipping. Total was $501.82. Plus groundsheet $48 plus $8 tax and shipping. Not a cheap tent but Durston's idea makes sense in practice.
Did you leave your car on this car park? I’m staying in Cannich the night before and struggling to find somewhere to leave my car for a few nights. Thanks.
We tried but ended up driving a couple of miles up the road to Dog Falls. However, as you enter Cannich there is a community centre with a car parking area in front so you could ask if you could leave your car there. The camp site is also there possibly ask them too. Otherwise, drive up to Dog Falls and park there for a few pounds. Toilets are there too. The Spar store does cooked meals.
You got a good day for it!
Nice vid, one of my fav trails this one. Glen Affric is stunning.

Thanks so much for this. Think I’m going to leave from dog falls. Car park is cheap enough for a couple of days.
