The problem with gambling is you're not supposed to get something for nothing, you are supposed to work for what you get. As it says in the Bible:- "You earn by the sweat of your brow" and there is alway a looser. So you don't through good money after bad.
I believe its all ones opinion about anything and understanding of the bible where there's no verse infact talking about gambling. But one is making money from TH-cam by the same word of God, which is gambling, making money. I was thinking the same. Day trading is not as easy as many think. You have to study a certain market, learn how to read charts and manage risk. Sure there are always possibilities of luck in it, just like every other job out there. A job may sound promising for you and then a few years later you can get laid off in a blink of a second. I look at day trading as a business or a secondary job because I already work full time and I want extra income for my family. People who try day trading and expect to become rich by making millions quick which is impossible unless you have insight knowledge of a stock or company to buy stocks on or against it, the second it goes up or it drops is likely a sin. If you put greed in the market, which almost everyone does, it is definitely bad. If you know what you’re doing and make your small profit with managed risk, than I think you should be fine in my opinion.

I just want to afford my own place and a vehicle. I think I work pretty hard at my fulltime retail job, but it just isn't enough. I play the lottery. I don't want the jackpot. I want something enough to afford a decent vehicle and rent/bills for a place of my own for at least a year lol.

I have a question. I was in a debate with someone from Islam and we were discussing "prizes" or "rewards" when we get to heaven. I am awaiting a response from him but this is the last thing I said. "See this is one thing I don't understand. These "prizes" or "rewards". They sound like a "bibes" to follow god. I know Islam is not unique in this. Is it a sin for people who work hard 40 hours a week to patronize a casino a couple hours over the weekend solely for entertainment purposes; not to get rich but rather to hopefully supplement their incomes? After all, 98% of all people are really just ‘subjects,’ who work their whole lives making their employers wealthy while they’re struggling just to get by. Would God really punish such people who are innocently attempting to make a little more money to help them live a little more comfortably? Here’s another question...Is playing the stock market a sin? The problem with gambling is you're not supposed to get something for nothing, you are supposed to work for what you get. As it says in the Bible:- "You earn by the sweat of your brow" and there is alway a looser. So you don't through good money after bad.
I believe its all ones opinion about anything and understanding of the bible where there's no verse infact talking about gambling. But one is making money from TH-cam by the same word of God, which is gambling, making money. The Jesus parable of 3 people with different 'talents', one guy hide his and did not multiply and was cursed. Solomon talking about sending you crops across and waiting for profit. I was thinking the same. Day trading is not as easy as many think. You have to study a certain market, learn how to read charts and manage risk. Sure there are always possibilities of luck in it, just like every other job out there. A job may sound promising for you and then a few years later you can get laid off in a blink of a second. I look at day trading as a business or a secondary job because I already work full time and I want extra income for my family. People who try day trading and expect to become rich by making millions quick which is impossible unless you have insight knowledge of a stock or company to buy stocks on or against it, the second it goes up or it drops is likely a sin. If you put greed in the market, which almost everyone does, it is definitely bad. If you know what you’re doing and make your small profit with managed risk, than I think you should be fine in my opinion.

I just want to afford my own place and a vehicle. I think I work pretty hard at my fulltime retail job, but it just isn't enough. I play the lottery. I don't want the jackpot. I want something enough to afford a decent vehicle and rent/bills for a place of my own for at least a year lol.

Gambling at the end of the day is a SIN. Whether you are there to have FUN or get rich it shouldnt be done. However you can repent your SINS even after you PLANNED to gamble. Even though we have accepted CHRIST in our lives. It still was a PLANNED event.

I have a question. I was in a debate with someone from Islam and we were discussing "prizes" or "rewards" when we get to heaven. I am awaiting a response from him but this is the last thing I said.

Is it a sin for people who work hard 40 hours a week to patronize a casino a couple hours over the weekend solely for entertainment purposes; not to get rich but rather to hopefully supplement their incomes? After all, 98% of all people are really just ‘subjects,’ who work their whole lives making their employers wealthy while they’re struggling just to get by. Would God really punish such people who are innocently attempting to make a little more money to help them live a little more comfortably?
