B'tzeit Yisrael - Joseph Millet

More overtly than any other melody for B'tzeit Yisrael, Millet's setting paints the perplexing dancelike motion of the "mountains skipping like rams; the hills like lambs". The opening of this tune is often combined with other melodies, but here is the entire composition. Joseph Millet was one of the most prominent conductors and composers in early 20th century Vienna, and B'tzeit Yisrael is his most well known work.

I learnt this at King David school in North Manchester. When I moved to London the tune they sang was dreadful. Once I davened from the Amud in London and sang this....on my own...
