      There is definitely a learning curve to Lightburn and an even bigger curve when it comes to syncing it up with different laser engravers. I hope this helps those who might be having some issues. Thanks for tuning in Jim.

    Thank you so much for this video. I have an Xtool S1 20 watt also. I have been doing a lot of my design work in Lightburn but I couldn’t figure out how to make it run my laser, especially the Z axis. I have watch dozens and dozens of videos and you are the first one to mention this file that you can down load on x tools website. I did what you said and I’m running my first project as I type this out. Thanks again I gave you a like and subscribed. Keep up the great work

    Hey Ken! I took the plunge and bought the Longer 40 watt laser. I also ordered the cover/encloser that you recently had on your show. Get ready... I have about 2000 questions! I'll do my best to figure out what I can.
    Great show and thanks Ken!

    Very interesting Kenny, unfortunately I don’t have the access to any laser engraving equipment nor any thing around that is a premium tool for a basic price. Keep up the awesome work.

    Very informative, thanks. Do you know if it connects to Lightburn using WiFi.

      To the best of my knowledge, no xTool laser will connect via wifi through Lightburn. It's a patch that they haven't bothered to fix yet. The same issue exists on the D1 Pro. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

    Hello, This video was very informative thank you for creating it for us S1 newbie users. I was wondering if you have tried the materials test in Lightburn under the Laser Tools menu for speed and power? I had a weird issue where Lightburn was cutting out some triangles instead of squares during the test pattern and it does not seem to adjust the power for each line. It seems the power remained at 100% because it was cutting out even at 10% power. Since then, I gave up trying to use Lightburn with the S1 and been using XCS which works and is ok but I want to try and go back to using Lightburn that has way more editing features. Thanks in advance if you know why the triangles being cut instead of squares is happening. I have the latest Firmware as of 3/25/24.

      I have never heard of this happening but I have also not done a burn test grid with the S1 and Lightburn. I will be working with the laser this weekend and will try a test grid and see if I can duplicate your results. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with this issue.

    What program do you use for designing your logo?

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I pretty much design all my laser engraving patterns on Lightburn. I have become very comfortable with it and can pretty much engrave anything I want now. From my logo to the designs on my model builds, it is a pretty quick process for my to use Lightburn to design the engravings so I stick with that software. I hope this helps Rocky. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
