Such a bad take. The bunny hopping is the worst thing for this game right now. It makes the net code have a seizure and makes bullet registration go into outer space. This isn’t a skill issue. It’s an issue about the game actually handling it.
Dude I couldn't put my finger on it but it really does! Like I'll be hitting and then they start tap strafing around and all of a sudden nothing registers. I LOVE movement and being able to dodge people and out play them with it, but not at the cost of raw gun skill always winning out

The jumping is one of the reasons why hit reg on the server is not keeping up.
Bunny hoping and sliding is what ruined fps games compared to the gold standard Modern Warfare 2.
I just about rarely play games anymore. My accuracy is abysmal on PC because I don't play anymore and I haven't touched a controller in over a decade. I've tried to play this game, I can just about win enough gun fights to still enjoy myself but once people start jumping about and sliding all over that fun is just gone. I thought it would play like the old Cod where this was never really an issue, it was just run, gun, respawn, repeat. The Maps feel small again, it doesn't really need this movement style
Edit: There is an excuse for not getting a scuf controller
1: working people who like to play a game for a quick moment are not going to those lengths
2: having to buy a third party device to be play even is mental.
3: They range from 100 - 200 quid. Rather not play the game.
Especially when the movement is scripted

@@WarConicX Headshots feeling kinda weak tbh compared to body TTK, for me atleast. I ding like 3-4 times in the head and they dont die sometimes, so I rather spray into body since the TTK is 2 fast on some weapons on body.
Don't go out and waste money on a bullshit controller with sticks on the back like Scuf. It's a video game, have fun. Also, claw is the easiest thing to learn
bunny hopping is good cos it rewards you for good movement , but it can be toned down
It should be more balanced though, look at the way PC players move compared to controller

I personally like the bunny hopping aspect of the game, but they need to do something that balances both the bunny hopping and the hit registration because I’m tired of being completely behind a wall and getting sniped by a sniper when I am about 4 feet behind the wall, it makes the game really really annoying Play against. If they can keep the bunny hopping and fix the net code and server issues then great but if not, then they’ll probably have to remove it.

Don’t buy a pro controller. Just use the skill thumb brawler button layout. I can from apex do the bunny hopping Diane bother me at all. The only super annoying thing is getting shot around corners. I’m fortunate to have hit reg issues. I’m confident all of these will get fixed in due time.
Ngl , 90% of the games I get are versing sweats this feels worse then cod, I’m an above avg player and the teams are so one sided, I’m level 30 and about to drop the game, sad but true I it’s no fun getting shit on Trynna play casually

i shit 3shots with marksman ,on settings i have turned on,that it shows damage. It did show numbers,but players life stayed the same. Hit reg is so shit.
The movement side of bhopping is ok as in getting around the map. what i find stupid is with the hitreg / netcode being so bad fighting someone in a firefight that is spamming jump ruins the game for me. Also i don't the fatigue does much to stop this because fire fights don't last long enough for it to effect you unless both players aim like Ai bots.

Horrible take, just get a good controller, some people cant really afford that shit and live paycheck to paycheck, the bhopping needs to go its even horrible on pc, its meant to be a cod killer but the movement is what makes cod so shit, its not like the days of black ops 2 where its actual skill not a movement game with guns
I’d much rather stick with the controllers that come with my console and not waste my hard earned money on an off-brand controller. Besides, I’d rather use my money on real life things thank you very much.

Look, man, if u don't wanna play if bunny hop is gone I said by all means goodbye sorry it was the only thing u liked. But the whole point is to win the first fight after that in this game at least tin my experience I don't often get blindsided by other people but I do hope they make the spread like insane for a few seconds when they jump more than once within a specific time frame, But that's just my opinion.

People are just as sick of it on Cod aswell, but Cod is old and that is what Cod is, it's already defined now. This was new, of course people disliking it is the main feedback and Bunny hopping makes just as bad as cod.
Two things make this more of an issue than in CoD. 1 bad hit reg/netcode. They have acknowledged the issue and are in the works to fix it so hopefully it will be resolved soon. 2. The ability to change strafe directions mid air. Jumping gives you an advantage in fights by changing verticality in exchange for being fixed in a parabolic trajectory because of physics. This game says f that and just removes all negatives from it turning it from a tool to be used in the right moment to something that MUST ALWAYS be used because it is just objectively better with no drawbacks.
@@Nobody-pb5mm Exactly. In COD, I have no issue with dropping people jumping. In Xdefiant, it seems like it makes them phase in and out of reality and you can't touch them and they're moving like an Agent from The Matrix dodging all of your bullets mid air.
Don’t remove bunny hopping, remove air strafing. It’s frustrating seeing everyone trying to remove literally all skill gaps in modern day games. Just get better and hit your shots
This is my stance. Once hit reg is tightened up and the ability to break physics mid air is gone then bhopping wont be a big deal. People that are good at it will still use it effectively and people who are bad will be punished for spamming it. Small steps to balance is what is needed not completely removing a tool but the current state of bhopping needs to go.
I don't mind the hopping necessarily because it's in COD and it's not a big issue. Like you said, it's the air strafing that's the problem and the servers taking a crap when someone does this and it makes it feel like you're being deleted in 1 shot by an SMG.

Bruh, this is by far one of the worst takes I have ever heard!!! Air-strafing, bunny-hopping, and slide-cancelling are nothing more than cheesy exploits that sweaty nerds claim to be part of a “skill gap” just so they can inflate their egos since they have nothing else to be proud of. Plus, not everyone myself included are willing to waste $100+ on an off-brand controller and instead just stick with the default controllers that our consoles provide us. Meta-sweats like this guy are the reason why SBMM has been implemented in our games nowadays.

People really are failing to understand that the movement is the true skill gap in the game. Air strafing , slide cancel and bhopp are skills to be utilized , maybe throw a 2 or 3 jump limit before jump fatigue or aim sway for 2-3 seconds then reset but don’t neuter skilled movement imo

That is only true if hit reg wasn't also a shit show. I would be ok just getting rid of bnny hoping all together but they at least need to disable the ability to strafe mid air. Add the ability to break physics during bunny hopping to crap hit reg makes people damn near invincibility some matches. And buy a custom controller to compete? Really? Might as well have pay to win guns with better stats. What is the problem? Just pony up some more cash if you want that edge over other players just like the custom controller.
@@Nobody-pb5mm no one said you have to buy a new controller , u don’t wanna to spend the money , learn to play claw , again a skill you need to learn. And the hit reg issue isn’t because of movement it’s a general issue with the game server side . The devs have said that the movement is an intended feature that will need to be fine tuned to create a good balance. It’s not going anaywhere and I’m glad it isn’t
