Just did Temple solo today. 3 hours up 2 down. It was worth the long wait 🙂. Thanks for the video, it kept inspiring me to get it done after all these years.
Thank you guys for this wonderful video. We are hoping to climb Temple in September too. Fingers crossed that the weather will be with us and the smoke will have settled. The visibility was impeccable when you did it!
Awesome! I went to the top of the Switchbacks but there was a sign saying you had to be in groups no smaller than 10 hikers due to bears, so I went back down...wish I had gone to the top!
The views are just awesome!! I'm considering this hike (will be in Rockies end of July-beg of August) but I'm an inexperienced hiker and also would need some extra gear to make it. But I'd really love to do this hike.
Why? Isn't it better to understand the realities of what you're undertaking than to pretend they don't exist? When you are prepared with knowledge and understanding you'll have a better chance of success even if you don't reach your goal. Just think about this: driving to and from the parking lot is the most dangerous thing you'll do on your day out. Statistically, your chances of accident, injury, or even death, are much higher driving in traffic, than hiking up most mountains, but it's something most of us don't think about, and if we do we still drive anyway... Hope you make it up and back safely and just have a good day out...👍
oh man, i feel like i should have reached out to you for a hike when i was there.. Next year!! be prepared to possibly get a message from myself, to hopefully join you on one of these epic adventures!... also, I love how you throw in stories and facts and info on the mountains in your videos. extremely well put together. fully enjoyed !
How long did this take to get to the top? Is the entire out and back 8-9 hours? Or does it take 8-9 hours to reach the summit? I would love to watch the sunrise here so it would be nice to estimate how long it would take to get to the top
awesome stuff Luke. have been watching your adventures for the past 6 months, and I'm now going to be moving to Kelowna to transfer to UBCo. So I'm really excited to go on some of the same treks.

Thanks Harlan! That's awesome, hope the weather is favourable for you!
Thank you Luke. It brought back great memories for me of 1959. It still looks great today.
Thanks Stephen! It was a great one!

I'm stoked you did it!
Incredible video Luke, thanks for sharing. What's most amazing to me is that this is Candice's first summit. Kudos to her and your team 👍💪
I liked that you showed your cramble down Mt. Temple as well and not just the hike up to the summit!
Thank you guys for this wonderful video. We are hoping to climb Temple in September too. Fingers crossed that the weather will be with us and the smoke will have settled. The visibility was impeccable when you did it!
Ya we thoroughly enjoyed it, hope your climb goes well!
On the list for this year.Awesome video...gives me a much better idea of what to expect after Sentinel..Kudos Candace wow!
Temple has always been one of the iconic scrambles of. You guys had a great time!
Yep, and that's one reason why we had to do it! Thanks!

Awesome! I went to the top of the Switchbacks but there was a sign saying you had to be in groups no smaller than 10 hikers due to bears, so I went back down...wish I had gone to the top!
Ah! There was lots of other hikers on the trail when we went... you would have loved it at the top!
This is awesome dude! I just moved to BC from Ontario, and getting into hiking. Did black tusk yesterday..
Sweet, that's great man!
Great job, Luke. Looking forward to it myself this summer, 2019.
Thanks!
Good job to her for her first peak. Thats wicked.
This is amazing! I gotta do this next time I'm in Banff!
Thanks Tahir! You should!
We were there for 7 days and did so much! But still didn't have time to bag a real peak! (Big Beehive doesn't count haha)
I'm more worried about descents. Glad you showed it.
Thanks, I also like showing how the descent goes as well
Wow the view is amazing! The visibility was 5 feet when I summited haha. That made it kind of amazing in itself though.
Ya it definitely is, Brody! Sometimes you get lucky with the weather, sometimes you don't
Awesome video! We haven't dont Mt Temple yet but planning to do it next year. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Froilan! I hope you get to do it! 👍🏻
Did you do it?
The views are just awesome!! I'm considering this hike (will be in Rockies end of July-beg of August) but I'm an inexperienced hiker and also would need some extra gear to make it. But I'd really love to do this hike.
awesome!
Love that last timelapse!
Merci sista!
Very nice video and view too..Thx for sharing! :-)
Thanks Tony!
yea boi- good job! smart move on the bucket too, I didn't rock one when did it and had rocks coming down aha
Ya bro, I didn't want to rock the ski helmet on this one, and about time I got a climbing one! haha
Looks so fun
very fun
Sick video! Is rock climbing the wall a mandatory part of the hike or is there an option to hike around it?
No, there is no option around it, this is the easiest route to the top!
I would not want to be hearing about the deaths that occurred on a mountain that i have just climbed and not descended yet
Why? Isn't it better to understand the realities of what you're undertaking than to pretend they don't exist?
When you are prepared with knowledge and understanding you'll have a better chance of success even if you don't reach your goal.

Thanks Mitchel! Ya feel free, that would be fun
Did Candice really made it up there with this, well, sneakers? Wow.... Crazy stuff ! :-D Great Video!
Yep, she did. Thanks!
I've had this mountain on my bucket list for 4 years now. I don't feel comfortable doing it solo and I am unable to find a good hiking partner. :*(
Sorry to hear that, I hope you find somebody!
Amazing luke 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you William!
When did you hike? See there's still snow. Cool video, amazing views. Can't wait to climb it in a few months.
August
@@lifeofluke Cool, I'm planning to go in August.
was the climb at @3:50 hard? looks scary
no, not if you're comfortable scrambling with a bit of exposure
Cool scramble! Is it necessary to abseil down the crux section or did you downclimb?
just downclimb
How long did this take to get to the top? Is the entire out and back 8-9 hours? Or does it take 8-9 hours to reach the summit? I would love to watch the sunrise here so it would be nice to estimate how long it would take to get to the top
The round trip was about 8-9 hours
Nice video. What time of year was this?
August
When did you guys do this hike? Planning to go up there mid July. Worried about smokes
Ya that's a legitimate concern, but we don't know what this summer will be like yet. This was in early August.
Hey! Love your videos! Just wondering what camera you use in this video?
I use the sony A7s
Nice hike. Montanni Semper Libre.
Thanks Dan!
did you bring any other equipment besides the helmet?
I didn't bring anything else but depending on the amount of snow an axe (piolet) could be useful
What time of year was this?
August
How is the exposure? Looked like a good climb!
the exposure isn't more than other scrambles I've done, until the ridge leading to the top, there's a ton of exposure off the east side of that ridge
when did you go up? How long did it take you?
Early August, and it took 8-9 hours
Is the trail market all the way to the top?
It's not marked all the way up but there's some rock cairns along the way
What time of year was this? Thanks!
early August
super vid!
Thanks Adrian!
such a special mountain side. I love carving out courage there. See ya on the trails!
Is it hard to find and follow the trail?
Hey Ali! No it's not hard to follow, the trail is marked and sees a lot of usage
How long it take you guys to complete a round trip
about 9 hours
Thank you for your reply
@@jafarazizi3194 No problem!
wow, epic dude
Thanks bro!
awesome stuff Luke. have been watching your adventures for the past 6 months, and I'm now going to be moving to Kelowna to transfer to UBCo. So I'm really excited to go on some of the same treks.
Thanks Justin! I'm stoked for you and hope the move goes well!
This gave me some anxiety. I leaned forwards in my chair.
haha the gopro will do that
Where's the dog?
not born yet
@@lifeofluke oh no
Well I guess that is for experienced climbers x)
yes it helps if you have some experience before going up Temple
Wow!
The informational value of the GoPro images is pretty much null, with that huge perspective distortion.
Otherwise, quite nice video!
Haha, wonder why so many gopro's have been sold, when everything looks faster/higher/further away and more exceptional than in reality?!?
Para ver o espetáculo da natureza tem que ter esforço coragem determinação
Obrigado Irineia!
The down climbing gave me pause.
The most difficult part is tolerating the new wave of pretentious millennials making videos of every mundane thing they do 😂
