    Great video Luke! I've done Temple twice and am headed up again on Sep.6th. It's a great climb.

    Just did Temple solo today. 3 hours up 2 down. It was worth the long wait 🙂. Thanks for the video, it kept inspiring me to get it done after all these years.

    Thank you guys for this wonderful video. We are hoping to climb Temple in September too. Fingers crossed that the weather will be with us and the smoke will have settled. The visibility was impeccable when you did it!

    Awesome! I went to the top of the Switchbacks but there was a sign saying you had to be in groups no smaller than 10 hikers due to bears, so I went back down...wish I had gone to the top!

      We were there for 7 days and did so much! But still didn't have time to bag a real peak! (Big Beehive doesn't count haha)

    Wow the view is amazing! The visibility was 5 feet when I summited haha. That made it kind of amazing in itself though.

    The views are just awesome!! I'm considering this hike (will be in Rockies end of July-beg of August) but I'm an inexperienced hiker and also would need some extra gear to make it. But I'd really love to do this hike.

    Sick video! Is rock climbing the wall a mandatory part of the hike or is there an option to hike around it?

      No, there is no option around it, this is the easiest route to the top!

    I would not want to be hearing about the deaths that occurred on a mountain that i have just climbed and not descended yet

      Why? Isn't it better to understand the realities of what you're undertaking than to pretend they don't exist?
      When you are prepared with knowledge and understanding you'll have a better chance of success even if you don't reach your goal.
      Just think about this: driving to and from the parking lot is the most dangerous thing you'll do on your day out. Statistically, your chances of accident, injury, or even death, are much higher driving in traffic, than hiking up most mountains, but it's something most of us don't think about, and if we do we still drive anyway...
      Hope you make it up and back safely and just have a good day out...👍

Next year!! be prepared to possibly get a message from myself, to hopefully join you on one of these epic adventures!... also, I love how you throw in stories and facts and info on the mountains in your videos. extremely well put together. fully enjoyed !

    I've had this mountain on my bucket list for 4 years now. I don't feel comfortable doing it solo and I am unable to find a good hiking partner. :*(

    How long did this take to get to the top? Is the entire out and back 8-9 hours? Or does it take 8-9 hours to reach the summit? I would love to watch the sunrise here so it would be nice to estimate how long it would take to get to the top

      The round trip was about 8-9 hours

      I didn't bring anything else but depending on the amount of snow an axe (piolet) could be useful

      the exposure isn't more than other scrambles I've done, until the ridge leading to the top, there's a ton of exposure off the east side of that ridge
