Right on. Unsuspecting this is also illegal af to force someone to do that. You know, biohazard and stuff. Hope the housekeeping person also ended up walking from their job.
My dad works at a hotel and he found a Grenade outside at the parking Lot. He also was working and he passed the pool and there was a lady just sitting there . He thought nothing about it but when he comes back he saw that she was sleeping. When he walked closer he saw that she had pills. Turns out she tried to commit termination.
I have worked the front desk in a hotel for many many years and have seen a little bit of just about everything - human trafficking, prostitution, drug dealing, assaults, attempted murders, suicides, overdoses, natural deaths, child abuse, abandoned pets, guests attempting to live out weird fantasies, homeless people trying to find a safe place to sleep, rowdy bands, orgies, gang fights, pranksters, out of control parties, naked people…. and it’s a nice hotel in a nice neighborhood. This is just how hotels are, not just the one that I work at (addressing all of the Karen’s out there). You see a lot of humanity in this line of work. Sadly, it’s almost a right of passage to find a dead body, or be the last person to see the deceased alive. I’ve had a mentally ill person standing in front of me waving a large kitchen knife (while I delicately called 911). And I’ve entertained lost children with cups of hot chocolate while we waited for police to arrive. The entire spectrum of good and bad.
I've been sleeping in hotels 3 nights a week for work reasons. It's disgusting to think about what's happened in those rooms. I bring a spray bottle with bleach and clean the surfaces but still there's the bed. I need a new job.
My hotel story. Well I have several but this one really sticks out to be and it’s disturbing in my personal opinion. Worked at a Marriott in my state. Did everything. From garage cleaning to front desk to housekeeping and almost everything in between. One night I was houseperson and was asked to take some extra towels to a two bedroom suite. I arrive and knock on the door and say your towels are here. The father of the family says go ahead just put them inside the shower area. I see the door to the shower area closed and I ask if someone is in there. The father says no. I open the door and I see one his daughters who is probably like 6 or 7 naked taking a shower! I immediately turn around and close the door. The father comes out of his room because he heard his daughter shout and ask what’s wrong. I literally go off on him and say “ you fucking told me no one was in the shower!” Oh that’s my daughter it’s alright”. ITS ALRIGHT???????? Are you fucking serious?!?!?!?! I just looked at him with disgust and just threw the towels to one of the chairs and walked away. Makes me wonder if how he didn’t have an ounce of embarrassment for himself and his lil girl. I felt real bad. Seriously wanted to punch that dude in the face.
I work construction and was renovating a Hilton in the DC area. I had a master key for the building and had to be in and out of rooms as soon as someone checked out to keep as few rooms offline as possible. We got to rooms before the cleaners and 1 room had a vase of roses, empty champagne bottle, FUCKED up bed, and used condoms on the floor. It was so obvious I thought it was staged as a prank. Same hotel we were told a room was empty despite it showing as occupied on our paperwork. I "cop knocked" the door to the room, declared myself as maintenance, waited 10 seconds, knocked again and said "maintenance" again. No response so I opened the door to a guy quickly dressing on the bed and a woman walking out of the bathroom. Guy was an overweight 5 while the woman was a solid 8. She was dressed in her "dress" and stripper heels from the night before, and the guy looked panicked as shit. He thought we were cops/management and told her to hide in the bathroom. 100% prostitute and customer. We just walked out the door and told them to "good morning".
Story of a friend. Albeit rather tame in comparison. Hotel stay at some industry conference. Got extremely wasted on a night out. Ended up puking all over the sink, wall and bath tub. The four towels in there would never have cut it. So he did what little he could and went to sleep. Next morning he gets up, puts $200 on the hotel room desk and writes „Dear Housekeeping, I am so, so sorry. - (Name of friend)“ on a piece of paper next to the two bills. Then leaves for the day, ashamed and with a hangover from hell. Came back in the afternoon to a squeaky clean hotel room and bathroom. The issue was never brought up again by any hotel staff. Although I am pretty sure some hotel staffer will have their own version of this very story with their own perspective. Generally it turns out, always tipping well and being friendly to all staff will go a long way and can move mountains. The real art is to not become an entitled dick about it. But the occasional perk will no doubt happen. And that is nice.
I work overnight, in housekeeping, at a big name hotel in my city. I have had more naked ppl and ppl that slyly attempted to get me to watch them get it on, or get it on with them, than I can even remember.
I have had quite a few with 20 years in the industry: 1. A deaf couple was fighting in the lobby. It took cops over an hour to get a translator to solve the problem. 2. Once had someone try to pay for a night’s stay with crack rocks. 3. People who I thought were a maintenance guy and his daughter who worked housekeeping and then mostly front desk, actually turned out to be a guy who used to be a neighborhood handyman in Oklahoma ran off with a family’s 16 year old daughter (not related). After close to a year, someone tipped them off that authorities were closing in and they went on the run again. 4. A three year old girl who was staying with her mother decided to poop on the welcome rug just inside the lobby while a senior group was talking and playing games in the lobby. 5. A guy from Utah who had lost a custody hearing to his ex-wife kidnapped his kids and was trying to make a run to Canada was staying at the hotel (booked by the GM) for over a month (didn’t have much of a job outside of helping his cousin with winter tree removal). His kids rarely had anything to eat outside what one other coworker and I gave them. Well, Valentine’s Day weekend comes and they have to check out due to us being sold out. For a few days nothing was heard about until that following Monday I’m watching the local news and the guy’s face is on the top story. Some woman saw his kids and him walking down the road about a mile from our property when she called the cops. Apparently he was even on America’s Most Wanted. 6. One female guest struggling with suicidal tendencies tried to self unalive herself via multiple pills. In the middle of doing this, she recovered enough to want to live, staggering out to the hallway, trying to get help. A family of three notices her but does next to nothing, only to complain that it’s unacceptable for her to be just laying in the hallway while she’s almost overdosing. 7. After a wild evening where a bride nearly got injured cause she wouldn’t move her arm out of the door for the elevator, causing the door to close on her arm (she was already upset cause her sauced husband had gotten very intoxicated and got a DUI while trying to drive from the reception back to the hotel), one of the wedding group pooped in the hallway on the 2nd floor by the elevator early Sunday morning. That wasn’t fun to clean that out of the carpet. 8. A guy hired to do painting for a room and the conference room almost overdosed in the conference room before I got into work 1 night, leaving his backpack, helmet and motorcycle while he got an ambulance to the hospital. Three hours into my shift later, he shows up to pick all his stuff up and ride off on his motorcycle. 9. A guy robs a bank in the county immediately west of us and pays to stay at the hotel. Swat shows up to find out where the guy is. The GM gives the leader a key card so that the door doesn’t get damaged. Instead, the Swat leader shatters the door into several small pieces and the city the Swat team was from never reimburses the hotel. 10. A guy checks in on a busy Saturday afternoon in December. An hour after checking in, he complains that the keys are no longer working. As I’m making new keys for him, I notice he has blood on his one wrist and on his flannel as he’s trying to wipe the blood off the front desk. I immediately grab Clorox wipes and wipe down the countertop. Not even five minutes later he’s at the desk, saying the keys I just made him still aren’t working, so I head up to check and see if the batteries in the door were dead. I easily open the door and then look in horror as the entire tile entrance into the room has blood on it. I’m not showing much composure on my face cause the guest asks if I’m okay, but all I say is to not leave the keys near electronics. Another hour passes and the GM who lives onsite tells me to call the cops cause the guy is yelling on the phone in his room (and he has already apparently yelled at 2 other guests). After 8 cops show up (probably ready for a fight), one cop comes down the steps and calls for an ambulance. 2 show up and I direct them to the side entrance where the guest, who is fighting against the restraints on the stretcher, is lifted down (cops were needed to make sure he didn’t assault any of the ambulance staff). About halfway through my shift, I go up to see how bad the room looks, and 1 cop stationed in the hallway says “You don’t want to look”, but I have to so I can report to the GM and owner how bad the room looks. 20 minutes after cops leave, the housekeeper who normally cleans that room (I was already concerned cause he was wearing sandals) and myself go inside the room. From the toilet in the bathroom to the window ledge is covered in a mix of wine and blood, he’s got several alcohol bottles decorating the room in different areas, the carpet has the blood/ alcohol mixture, and I finally see how he got bloody in the first place (apparently while he was arguing with his girlfriend, he punched the window out of the microwave door). It took seven months to get the room fully cleaned to be able to use it again. 11. On a Saturday afternoon in September one year, I was in the middle of getting extra sets of towels for a guest when I notice what looks like a plastic snake in between the entryway between the coffee bar area behind the desk and the laundry room. Not wanting to figure out if it was real initially, I go all around the front desk to get to the other laundry entryway to get the towels. 10 minutes later, I check again and notice that the “fake” snake has moved, so after confirming it was real, I started spraying it with bug spray to get it to die in place, only for it to slither to behind the laundry room washers. I then call the GM, who wants nothing to do with the snake, and he then calls one of the male housekeepers, who is even more terrified of the snake than the GM is, who calls the owner. The owner is out of town and eventually calls the on-site maintenance assistance, who finds the snake dead after all the bug spray I had used on it. A week later another snake tried to slither inside the maintenance assistant’s room, but never made it inside (but needless to say, snake spray was spread throughout the property). 12. Happened recently. A female guest and her handicapped boyfriend were arguing loudly. Enough so that another guest asked us to knock on their door to tell them to stop. Approximately 30 minutes later, they leave the room, but the female guest is still somewhat berating and abusing her wheelchair bound boyfriend, even in views of cameras in the lobby. The boyfriend, after she stops abusing him to go back to the room, asks for towels. I’m trying to find towels (with how busy the hotel was, not enough towels were brought down, so housekeeping was waiting for laundry to get done in the dryer in the morning). I then leave the desk to ask a housekeeper who spoke very little English about the request. However, in the middle of this, said female guest leaves the room, partially dressed, and goes knocking on the guest’s door who complained about her noise, trying to fight said guest. When said guest doesn’t respond, she walks back to her room while I’m still trying to explain what I need the housekeeper to do when she butts in and tells the housekeeper and I something inappropriate. At this point, I’ve already seen enough and call the cops to get them both to leave from back at the front desk. She however wasn’t done. In the middle of the call, I hear yelling from behind the desk. She has now managed to get behind the desk and is berating the older laundry guy who just months earlier was in the hospital briefly. I rush back to protect him and say “Ma’am, you’re not allowed behind the desk.” She responds with “You can’t take that tone with me.” I respond “Ma’am, you’re in a restricted area and I’ve already called the cops. Leave now”. She then pushes me and proceeds to tangle us up onto the floor. Thankfully, due to my unarmed training from the military, I just pin her against items and walls to keep her from trying to hurt me, but she has already broken my glasses and is trying to injure my nether region and my jaw. A few minutes later, the GM and two female housekeepers break up the altercation. She then tries to kick one of the 2 female housekeepers, but misses, and spit on the female housekeeper. She then heads back to her room, partially naked, and calls the housekeeper who was getting her the towels a pervert (the guy never says anything to her or about her). Around that time is when the cops show up to arrest her (she’s currently 5 months into a 10 year sentence for multiple assault and abuse charges).
I still remember the time when a woman came to the little shoo behind my hotel's Front Desk in just FM red lace oanties, garters, and bra. When you work hotel overnights, you learn to take everything in stride.

I think they did hire a crime scene cleanup crew (if you're referring to the ice show orgy story)

Bleach is a pretty harsh chemical, if the company's paying for a decent hotel it might be better just to rely on the cleaners.
LMFAO THE FACT THAT THEY WERE SO NONCHALANT ABOUT THE NAKED MAN 😂😂
the worker at the front desk seemed like he had dealt with him waaaaaay too many times lmfao XD
You must not have worked in hotels. All the naked people and sex ones? Pretty normal.

5:10 that’s fucking scary, I’m so glad someone like OP and their coworkers were looking out for this poor lass.
As a Christian, I am appalled to learn of what other “Christians” have been doing in hotels
