Russ is truly the goat. Incredible videos. But I understand what you’re saying. That’s why I made this quick side by side comparison. Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching. Hope to see you around!
I presently possess the Powkiddy RGB 30, and I've enhanced the joysticks by installing the Gulikit Hall sensor ones, resulting in a significant improvement. Additionally, I've upgraded the SD card to 256 GB to accommodate a larger collection of ROMs. Personally, I lean towards ArkOS, and I must say it's an impressive little device. I'm extremely satisfied with its performance. Having tested the majority of Dreamcast games, I found that most of them run smoothly. The standout feature, for me, is the exceptional screen quality. This device continues to exceed my expectations.
Solid coverage on these devices with similar performances but different external hardware and OS optimizations! It definitely gives a lot of perspective with compatible systems. For me personally, I always look for performance to price ratios mixed specifically with pocketability as well as the ability to play on a TV or external monitor because the versatility is always important to me. With that, I went with the RG35XXH because it was on sale on Aliexpress and with tax and shipping I spent $46. I'm patiently waiting for it to arrive so I can break it in.
Seems the RGB10 Max 3 might be a better over handheld than all these. if you're wanting to stay around or under $100. It can be had for $70 right now after discount. That's probably the way I'd go for a budget handheld, or save up $200 for a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.
I haven’t been able to get my hands on one of those yet, but they look nice. It has the exact same specs as the RGB30, but that screen is a lot bigger!
I have no regrets buying the Trimui, it blows these others away, especially when you stretch all the games to that full screen,...even GB games look awesome! Plus, the look of it (especially in black) is phenomenal! Also, I didn't buy a 5" screen to put in my pocket. That's what the previous Trimui model is for, lol. NDS does suck. I do know how to split the screen (just click the left trigger to open the emulator menu) I just can't get the controls to work properly with the games I like,...but I can live without NDS, lol. My only gripe would be that it doesn't play Game Cube. Maybe in a couple years the next one will. :D
@@yvettej5262 Out of those three? I would still get the Trimui, but to be frank, if I were to buy now, I'd spend the extra hundred bucks and get a device that is powerful enough for GameCube, like the Anbernic 556, or 405m.
I believe that the way to choose must be by aspect ratio criteria: 1) If you wanna mostly play 4:3 platforms like NeoGeo or PS1, even N64; then any Anbernic XX is the best option. 2) If you wanna mostly play near squared platforms like GBC, SNES or even Pico 8; then your best option is the Powkiddy RGB30. 3) If you wanna mostly play 16:9/3:2 platforms, that is PSP and GBA; OR you interested on PortMaster then the Trimui Smart Pro must be the One.
I honestly really wish anbernic would have just lowered the price of the 353 series and maybe released one in the classic candybar style but plastic. If i could get a 353p in the 35xxh shell for like 90 bucks it would easily be my top choice
The H actually seems slightly more powerful than the 353p. However, it doesn’t have the custom firmware options and optimizations that the 353p has. So I get what you’re saying.
@BoKnowsGaming is it really more powerful? Huh I never would have guessed. Still though, the android functionality is something most people don't care about but my favorite thing about the 353 devices is you can play the android ports of the gta games
Yes, I believe it benchmarks just a bit higher, and it’s cheaper and more power efficient. So it’s a good move for them, and the price is great for us. But you do lose Android, so that is a shame.

How are you going to try to play PSP on a 1:1 aspect ratio screen? it just doesn't make any sense...the trim UI has no business being 16:9 when it can't even handle PSP, and GBA (which is 3:2 and decently displayed on this screen) looks too big on this screen IMO. The RG35XXH is very pocketable but just by a half and inch but does not even come close to the RGB30, why? the RGB30 runs GB. GBC, PICO8 and Neo Geo Pocket in native 1:1 aspect ratio, SNES and NES is 8:7 natively which looks WAY and BIGGER and better in a 1:1 aspect ratio display than the 4:3 on the RG35XX H, not to mention is WAY more comfortable and has a lot more custom firmware options. before anyone comes and say it, I've owned all 3 and only kept the RGB30 and sold the other 2.
