I watched your Telecaster video and spent the day scouring the internet trying figure out how you got that great crunch! Low and behold the same guy is getting an identical sound from my amp! I can’t wait to dig into this tutorial! You just got a follower!
Last year, I bought myself a brand new Boss Katana KTN-100 Mk II amp as a birthday present for myself, been loving it ever since, I also bought the optional GA-FC foot controller and amp cover to go with it, I've been getting great results with the stock presets and my guitars, but it would be great to give your presets a try.

Hi Paul this is just fantastic. The tones you get out of those Katana is out of the world. I own a Katana MK1 100 myself and as you know I do have limitations with the Effects as MK1 does not have the same flexibility as with MK2. Would appreciate if you can give me some tips to have a good clean, rhythm and Solo patches for an 80s and 90s Hard rock set. I have taken your inputs to go with the clean amp to start with and build on top of it which has already given me a better tone than what I had before but would like to have options with MK1 when I cannot use a booster but the MOD to bring in the compressor.

The Katana amp is great and intensely diverse. I have the 50 watt MKII and love it. I find that taming the harshness is key, though. Presets, please. I'm looking for the warmth of the best valve amps of the 50s and 60s, and have actually found some of that in my own settings-experimentation and online research. I have 5 good-to-great guitars to play through the amp, so I'm looking to bring out their best tones. Thanks for your videos. They are very helpful.
Love your presets. Used the clean one slighty modified in my Katana Artist. It's great!!! Never thought that a clean booster would spice up the clean sound so good. Thanks from Spain!!!

Hey Paul. Great vid as always. I have copied your settings but don't get that crunchy glassy sound like around minute 3:16. I've tried it with my Epi Les Paul and my Strat and played with the volume and Master volume. I have a Boss Katana Mk2 100 Watt. What am I doing wrong?

Would love the patches. The thing that for me that was the game changer was using the librarian. I unfortunately have the initial 50 Katana so can't use the GAFC with it but may try the Air step Kat or just upgrade to Katana 100 2-12.
Great patches, thanks for sharing. I’ve just upgraded to the 100 mk2 from the 50 mark 1 and I can’t believe how much better it is. Do you run your master volume on full then adjust the wattage output ?
RNArizona it just sounds so much bigger and has a more fuller sound. Also the mk2 let’s you use more built in effects at the same time. It really is a big difference overall especially the sound.
Would "LOVE" to be able to Download the Presets. First of all, your Videos are the "BEST" on TH-cam for the Boss Katana II Amps. You have a wonderful way of explaining everything and your ability to "dial-in" the tones are second to none my friend. Thank You so much for all of your time and efforts. I just got the 50 Katana MkII to use in situations where I don't want/can't use my high-end Amps; It will fill a void for sure.

Hi Guys the presets are up there is a video on The Studio Rats TH-cam channel to show you how to get them. I should add people with Katana mk1 are having problems installing as they were created with the Katana Mk2.

Great video ..QUESTION (and a tip).... I copied all you setting..maybe it’s my old ears but I find the booster makes the sound more crunchy (ACDCey) but it is kicking in the Comp that has the biggest volume increase and therefore makes this the knob that you’ll hit when launching into a solo. Is it just my ears? I never find that the boost gives me the volume lift I need when it comes to that big fat solo. Also, I have found that for a solo volume liftyou can put a patch cable to link the send and retuen and then set the return to about 65, when you kick in the loop you get a volume lift.... (doesn’t work as well on chain 1... I use chain 2)

the key is they're probably using the 100 Watt which has a very different speaker. you might want to look into a speaker swap.

You can adjust the volume of the boost using the software to get louder solos.
