    Thank you for yet another flat pattern that looks reversible on both sides. It makes life so much sweeter to discover this type of pretty functional pattern. I’m thinking of doing a sampler scarf of 3 or 4 different square stitch patterns instead of a whole scarf in only one stitch. As they say, “variety is the spice of life”. Thank you for using thick yarn too, it makes a difference especially for new knitters! Thank you!🌝💐🐌🧶

    Love your videos. Slow and clear. I’ve put SO MANY HOURS into learning two of your patterns. I love them! However, I’m so bummed. I’ve been checking each row and everything was fine? Then suddenly, a dropped stitch! It’s 6 rows back. How can I fix it? I’ve FINALLY got the stitch down! 😢

    Finally! Thank you so much for going slowly, using chunky yarn, big needles and speaking slowly. I could follow along with you step by step because I could see exactly what you were doing. I give you an AAAA++++ for your teaching skills. Thank you very much.

    Love that yarn and the needles. I broke a pair of circular needles and wanted to replace them. They snapped at the connection as they were changeable needles. Looking to eventually replace the set of circular needles.

    I'm knitting scarves for all my friends for Christmas. I want each one to have a unique stitch, but not so complex that I can't put it down suddenly (I work in a hospital so things can go from dead to crazy in a second). Each person is getting a scarf in their Harry Potter house colours.

    Lovely stitching! Question: what is the best way to estimate how long a tail to leave when casting on using the method shown?

    • @realisezmoi
      @realisezmoi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      hi! obvs i'm not so woolly but maybe i can help :) if it's the longtail cast on i just wrap the yarn around the correct size needle for however many cast on stitches are required and then add a few inches for safety (just in case) before tying the slipknot. that way you know you have enough yarn!

    • @agemoth
      @agemoth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! (but bear in mind that the smaller the stitches, the less wide it will be, so you will have to cast on a lot more stitches to make it the desired width!)

    What am I doing wrong?! I knit the continental style, I follow exactly the pattern, but I always end up having fewer stitches after row5. I made a swatch of 17 stitches (12+5), but at the end of row 5, I always have 14 left :(( As per instructions, I always do the yarn over, so I should gain one stitch when I knit 2tog, but unfortunately,. each time I try, I end up with 14 stitches after row 5. Do you know what I could be doing wrong?

    • @pufferpuffer4434
      @pufferpuffer4434 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is that the row that has the “Yarn Over stitches”? They always make me crazy cause I’m never sure which way to slip the yarn 😳🧐🤨😫!
      I an just discovering this particular stitch, but when I attempt to duplicate it, I will be running this video at my left side to compare each movement as she does!
      Don’t give up! It usually always takes me a full day of testing, swearing, ripping out, changing needle sizes, comparing and trying it again to get a decent foundation to work on. And eventually I will see something different in what I’m doing and say, OH! That’s the moment of visual learning for the day!😳🤯😲🤭🥳🥰😉🎊🎉💐🌝⭐️🍷🧶

    How many stitches did you cast on

    • @agemoth
      @agemoth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      17. But as long as it is multiples of 6 PLUS 5 more, it doesn't matter. Just make it to your desired width. You will probably have to try it with your yarn and needle sizes to see how wide it gets.

    Hello, I am confused with this design; after the double decrease the remaining stitches are not with what I had started with.. please help me ; j in had started with 31 pairs for a nee born baby and now I have 26 pairs 😢

    • @sowoolly
      @sowoolly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, I think you should practice with a smaller swatch first. If you end having less stitches, then you are probably missing some increases.
