I think Sinjon could of been put into the game by EA to represent a vampire attack since it is not possible to be killed by a vampire. Which would be why his “cause of death” is thirst as it is the only death that is related to vampires.
This might be a bit dark but my theory is that one night he got attacked from the vampires/one of the vampires, the vampire/s drank all of his blood, which leads to lack of blood and water in his body (hence died of thirst) and simply dumped his dead body between the dumpsters.
Yeah I thought the same and since vampires can't kill in the game, they gave him a vampire death even though he's human to make clear that there's a link between him and the vampires 🤷♀️ to link that they killed him by sucking his blood (death by the sun wouldn't make a lot of sens lol). Well, I think so.

What if he attacked the girl from Plasma 501 and regretted it and starved himself on purpose before fully transforming into a vampire? Personally, I think the Jones' bios and traits were a mistake by the developers. I think they were incorrectly assigned after they had written their storyline
I actually really like that she has the dislikes children trait, she wants children just for status in her community, and is not actually a family oriented sim. It giver her a lot more depth.
Some people say that they accidentally switched and should be the other way, but creators never changed it back. But yeah, what Ben said gives it very interesting turn.
I like it, not enough female Sims made for the game have that trait. Women often have kids because it’s just expected from cishets, even if kids don’t fit their lifestyle or they personally don’t even like kids. Why? Because they aren’t encouraged to think about it. So she may not even realize she hates kids. It’s realistic.
maybe Sinjon was in the process of being turned into a vampire, and when he failed to promise his loyalty to the vampire family who were turning him, they stopped the process part way and let him die of thirst. He wasn't fully a vampire yet, so it doesn't show on his resurrected sim, but he was far enough into the process that he could die of thirst.
These series are incredible and really illustrate the depth of the sims 3! To think the sims 3 has lore for its DECEASED sims and not just the ones alive. Sims 4 could never!
i believe on the sims wiki for this household, they do mention that Johnny and Diana have their traits switched, which was something on the developers end, i typically switch their traits in my game for their bio’s to make sense but love these bridgeport videos & i always get excited for the new one each week !

I have a theory : the building where the Jones live was built by the "Zodiac group". It remind me of the Zodiac Killer. Maybe there is a link between this group and the dead body buried next to the cinema... Maybe some kind of serial killer in Bridgeport... What do you think of my theory ?
Gameplay-wise the only way for a Human-Thirst ghost to occur is through *A vampire thirst ghost curing their vampirism *A thirst ghost having a baby which doesn't inherit vampirism *If a vampire's thirst need reaches 0 while they're in the process of curing themselves. I'd say that the last one is both the most likely case for SInjon and the most interesting to theorize about. Perhaps he was turned into a vampire against his will, and found a cure and drank it near the theater where he performed but unfortunately passed away before the process completed.
I do still feel like Sinjon has to do with vampires. Like maybe your second theory is true but instead of the theatre owners just burying some guy they found a vampire tried to turn him but it wasn’t a full transformation hence the human needs but dying of vampire thirst. Idk just a theory 🤷🏼♀️
I remember watching pleasent sims lp of night life and one thing pointed out about the Jones is that their personalities seem to be switched. Diana should have her husband's personality and johnny should have Diana's
I'm currently playing as an actress and I ended up getting a ghost gnome from the claw machine. This little ghost guy has made all of the ghosts from Bridgeport spawn in my house, including this guy, and wow, I needed to know what his deal was when I looked him up on the wiki and it said he was buried behind the cinema. I initially got the ghost because I wanted it to spawn female sims for my Sim to flirt with, and as a nod to Lotta, who I'm hoping to revive and then marry, but the thought that she could randomly appear on my lot during midnight hours is really funny to me. Accidentally genius.
I was not aware of the depth of these games. As a kid I used to just make sims based on me and my family without being aware of the levels of lore. This has lead me to come back to sims 2 and 3 to experience these games with adult eyes and it just baffles me that these games were E for everyone.

I'm pretty sure 3 is what they were going for with the references the Sims team had until 4 (☕), but I love how in depth you made the second theory! I tend to play the Sims very surface level, more about career progression so its nice to see a fully realized story for one that isn't even played.

We all know that Matthew changed his name, and that he and his brother don't like each other very much. Maybe Matthew took Sinjon's place (Sinjon probably was an aspiring actor already and the change of his name to be easier to remember should be a "fresh start" for him?) with the help of Elvira and that's how he got so famous?

I think Sinjon contracted vampirism but didn't survive the transformation. He may have died some time in the 3 day gap between human and vampire. The thirst death and human needs may be an indication of him being in that halfway state when he died. He might have done a Thomas Wayne and died in a theatre alley (perhaps also a Batman reference, with vampires being associated with bats), but after being attacked by a vampire from across the street, thus potentially making him loosely associated with the vampire scenario, but not directly.

I imagine that because the bizarre place that he died, an convenient place to be attacked. The presence of the vampires in this city that is connected to the fame seems to me an reference to drug addiction in the celebrity world.
Hmm I feel that the second theory is most likely (especially if we consider Bridgeport’s bio) “Founded at the turn of the century” I feel that only means Officially founded and the town is much much older (also considering the primary style of the town it seems to be very early 1900s ish so sinjon easily could have perished in the 30s when the old becket theatre was going through tough times as was the rest of town (I say this as the office building/restaurant is very modern in comparison to the rest of the town)

It was a very last minute thing - I got invited to go because one of my family members wasn’t feeling well. I had no idea what the play was about, and honestly still don’t! However, those actors have amazing chemistry, which made it a great experience anyway.

I'm not a vampire expert but aren't vampires basically soulless bodies who live on blood. By that logic when you resurrect him his soul comes back to him so he'll not be a vampire anymore
I actually think that a more plausible theory that I like to think about is that Sinjon wasn’t originally from Bridgeport at all. That’s why he doesn’t know anyone. Visiting the city back in the early days of Bridgeport, he might have just been visiting the theatre and been at the wrong place at the wrong time. He could have already been turning into a vampire but hadn’t completely turned yet, explaining the human needs but the vampire death. Seeing him as an outsider, the city’s vampire gangs could have confronted him, murdered him by forcing him to starve, and dumped his body in the dumpsters. Hence the grave between the dumpsters (since you can’t actually dump bodies in the sims but you find lots of graves by dumpsters) This theory is very half baked but it’s the first impression I got and I’d love to investigate and speculate further.
Sinjon's story sounds very similar to the original story of the Joker who also started out as an aspiring entertainer (a comedian in his case) who had a wife and child who struggled to make ends meat to feed his family. Although in the Joker's case out of desperation turned to crime and nearly died in a chemical accident which transformed him into the psychotic prince of crime that we know today.
Well maybe the vampire theory and the tragic life theory are actually the truth 👍 Maybe Sinjon was a vampire who’s wife, toddler son and daughters left him.. and he died of thirst and was burred at the theater because He wasn’t famous to go to a celebrity cemetery and came back as a ghost to get revenge on the theater 🧛🏻

Tbh it still confuses me that he has the vampire thirst death, maybe he's ancestors were vampires and thats why he got the special vamp death!

I actually think that a more plausible theory that I like to think about is that Sinjon wasn’t originally from Bridgeport at all. That’s why he doesn’t know anyone. Visiting the city back in the early days of Bridgeport, he might have just been visiting the theatre and been at the wrong place at the wrong time. He could have already been turning into a vampire but hadn’t completely turned yet, explaining the human needs but the vampire death. Seeing him as an outsider, the city’s vampire gangs could have confronted him, murdered him by forcing him to starve, and dumped his body in the dumpsters. Hence the grave between the dumpsters (since you can’t actually dump bodies in the sims but you find lots of graves by dumpsters)
This theory is very half baked but it’s the first impression I got and I’d love to investigate and speculate further.
Sinjon's story sounds very similar to the original story of the Joker who also started out as an aspiring entertainer (a comedian in his case) who had a wife and child who struggled to make ends meat to feed his family. Although in the Joker's case out of desperation turned to crime and nearly died in a chemical accident which transformed him into the psychotic prince of crime that we know today.

Well maybe the vampire theory and the tragic life theory are actually the truth 👍 Maybe Sinjon was a vampire who’s wife, toddler son and daughters left him.. and he died of thirst and was burred at the theater because He wasn’t famous to go to a celebrity cemetery and came back as a ghost to get revenge on the theater 🧛🏻
