I was working a traffic post at the Genises open a few years ago and I met Mr. Nantz. He was so gracious and gave me a CBS embosed golf ball and a CBS lapel pin with the logo and inscribed "Hello Friends" Classy guy for sure!
Men don’t have great ease saying this, but what you hear when Jim talks about Brent, his friendship with Dan, & the mementos he’ll have to keep him calm, that’s Jim speaking love. He’s talking about his love for all of those. Amazing.
Nantz, Musberger, Patrick, Michaels, Summerall, Harwell, Cosell, Costas, Buck, and Scully...Anyone who grew up listening to these iconic voices knows just how lucky we were and still are to hear some of them to this day. All of them Hall of Fame broadcasters. I'm missing a few I'm sure and feel free to add someone to the list but they better be worthy.
At the 13 minute mark, when Dan is counting down for Jim, and Jim has to stick the landing with everything going on in his ear, and does it with graceful precision; that’s one of my all-time favorite moments in the history of the show. Dan Patrick and Jim Nance are two LEGENDARY BALLERS. ~Massive Respect!
Wasn’t that incredible? The way he dealt with his partner interrupting his closing, acknowledging his point but still sticking the outro, was fabulous. Such a pro.
I believe that whole show should be in the HOF Brent, Phyliss, Irv. Just think about it if it weren't for those 3 people who broke barriers aren't in the HOF it's so wrong.
Hi Jim: Did you call Phil Simms after you worked with him for over 10 years & threw him under the bus for Tony Romo ? Your loyalty was clearly up your rear !!
All the status and all the money. Everybody has to be in the HOF now. In the NBA Doris Burke is in the HOF. Basically if you broadcast games for ESPN long enough you're going to be in the HOF. It's ridiculous. Brent Musburger was known as a hack back in the day. Now you want to be nice to him and appreciate he has put in a lot of time etc that's fine. But he doesn't need to be in the HOF. I mean with all the internet blur anymore that has become people's lives what does the HOF even mean anymore? It's a joke.
Brent did a great job with college basketball, and the NFL no doubt, but he was removed from the Masters after his blatantly ignorant attempt to rewrite Masters history in, of all years, 1986 Nicklaus' final Masters win, the Lords of Augusta gave CBS no choice.
If you look up class in the dictionary it has a picture of Nantz. Class personified

Agreed!
Damit Jim, why have to and make me all teary eyed. What a beautiful ritual you have to remember and honour your loved ones.
I could listen to Dan & Jim talk all day!
That countdown is great...Jim showing how good he is. That would throw me off as an announcer 😆.
Be well and be at peace
10/10 interview!!
Hello friends, nice to see the friendship Dan and Jim have !
“you’d give it to Brent or me?” 😂😂
Men don’t have great ease saying this, but what you hear when Jim talks about Brent, his friendship with Dan, & the mementos he’ll have to keep him calm, that’s Jim speaking love. He’s talking about his love for all of those. Amazing.
Super Interview
These are two of the best in the business. This is legendendary content.
An absolutely wonderful interview. Jim Nance is the best especially on the Dan Patrick Show.
Awe!! His comments about Summeral and Madden and his parents brought tears to my eyes. Just a great interview.

How can you not love Jim Nantz. Class personified
Jim Nantz seems to be too good to be true, and yet so genuine at the same time. What a wonderful ambassador for sports.
This man lives a half hour from me. Ever come to Salinas Jim ? Like hot dogs from the rusty grill and sharing high school yearbooks ?
It’s a must watch when Danny P and Jimmy Nantz get together. Love these two.

44 seconds to long
Nantz is Mr. Smooth. Kind of sad he put his idol out of a job. 😉
You don't get why were tired of seeing Taylor Swift? Come on man you're better than that
Noone can tell with just for men gel
Brent did a great job with college basketball, and the NFL no doubt, but he was removed from the Masters after his blatantly ignorant attempt to rewrite Masters history in, of all years, 1986 Nicklaus' final Masters win, the Lords of Augusta gave CBS no choice.
Personally I would rather have no commentary or play calling..we know the game!!
Nantz doesn't want to be canceled like al Michael's was.
Nantz still shows enthusiasm in his broadcasts. Al just goes thru the motions.
What do you mean
Al took the Bezos money bag and left NBC. He wasn't "canceled".
The Dan Patrick humility award, the real reason he lost his job
Dan has become a bit of a braggart, eh ?
Hello Friends
