Unacceptable Venue for Graduation and School Bus Beatings

Watch the Charlotte County School board meeting. Students and parents speak out against the venue for the upcoming high school graduation. The venue chosen by Charlotte High principal, Cathy Corsaletti, doesn't even have enough parking for all the graduating seniors much less enough room for their families to intend. This is to despite at least two other venues with plenty of parking and seats. The students will only get four tickets including their own. That leave out most grandparents and siblings. The board basically said they have no influence over the decision.
The parents of the twins that were brutally beaten on a Charlotte County school bus attended the meeting to speak. Apparently they had never been to a meeting with this type of leadership. They put both their names on the speaker card. Instead of asking the parents to fill out another card, the mother was simply not permitted to speak. There was absolutely no invitation for any further speakers after the cards were finished.
Three of these board members are up for reelection in less than two years.
