I know the feeling... Its amazing that the film came out the year i was born... but I watched it when it was on tv :D
I was 4 when it came out and I never forgot that movie. The new series is fantastic!!

Perhaps the most amazing thing about Age of Resistance is that it really feels, right down to marketing like this, like something Jim Henson would make. The comedy, the drama, the beautiful, the scary and the absurd, it's all there, perfectly captured.
The show slowly blew me away. Thank you so much, Jim Henson.

It's the details that makes it so magical! Look closely, in the back of the Fizzgigs' throats there is a second set of sharp teeth. The older fizzgig with an eyepatch, how his paw taps in time with the music. The way they pant and smack their lips at the end. This is the beauty and humour and ART of puppetry! :D

I also like that Jim Henson's daughter, Lisa, is Executive Producer, so she has a stake in making sure this series is good.

Finished the first season yesterday. Blown away. I watched the original in the 80's as a kid and I never imagined I'd see more of The Dark Crystal on screen at this point. It's done masterfully, as well. I'm so thrilled. Thank you, Netflix! (I'll even forgive you for the Game of Thrones muck-up, because of this.)

Both The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth were Jim Henson movies made back in the 80's. Lotta puppet action and really far out stuff. Since this is technically a prequel you don't have to have seen the movie first, but the movie is just a really great hard core fantasy.

Such character and personality, as only a live puppet character can give! It's glorious to see something not relying on CGI for once, and leave it to the Jim Henson Company to deliver it as only they can.
WOW! Fizzgigs are so amazing! I hope I can get every kind of toy as Fizzgigs & they should have there own movie. I loved them as a kid, sad waiting so long but this is worth it, brilliant! A set of the 4 would be so cool.
