I think the only one I forgot about was Definitely, Maybe. He also made one, I can’t remember what it’s called, but he’s a young teacher who’s actually smart and good at teaching and good with kids, but the older teachers don’t like him. Then he gets sick. I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s pretty good considering a low budget
Buried was the best Ryan Reynolds movie of 2011. A whole movie of him trapped in a coffin in the ground was chilling. The Voices was a funny horror movie.
That was a great movie!! That ending....... Chef Kiss, My friend and I watched it and she was actually upset at the ending. She was expecting what everyone else was.
@@wolfang3198 That f****** movie was amazing and I was on my seat during the whole time expecting him to be rescued and then realized the end was just f****** heart-wrenching but at the same time holy f***! Love the movie how many people can carry a movie like that on their own? Not very many! Mr Ryan Reynolds is a f****** Canadian icon man I love the guy. oh and watch a little known movie called The Captive
Buried is so impressive because the entire movie is in the box. No flash backs, memories ect. Every single shot in the movie is in the box. Yet it still keeps your attention! That movie truly made me Hella nervous AND kept my attention.
Yeah, definitely related to that 1. I was an athlete but fat til I was almost 18. But did my senior year in college lost all my weight and started bartending n personal training after loosing 6lb. 2 years later when the girls I went to school with, that always just considered me a "friend " started getting into my bar..... the flood gates opened lol
The Voices! Such a great movie! I loved him in that, I got misty eyed watching it. It’s sooo good! I love how he saw the world when he was and wasn’t on his medication. And not just his surroundings, but even the lighting changed! It set the mood. And you can’t forger Bosco and Mr. Whiskers!!! It was a phenomenal movie that I thoroughly enjoyed.
School of Life is a 2005 made-for-television comedy-drama film starring Reynolds, about a teacher who moves to a town and shakes the old school ways up a bit. Reynolds plays the fun-loving and handsome Michael D’Angelo, the new history teacher at Fallbrook Central School. Narrated by the son of one of the other teachers, this movie is about his father’s (David Paymer‘s) character as much as it is Reynolds’. Viewers fall in love with the charismatic “Mr. D,” only to learn something devastating about him midway through the movie. The reason that School of Life seems to be one of the lesser-noted films in Reynolds’ career is that it was a television film, premiering on ABC Family on February 19, 2005.
FINALLY!!! A Ryan Reynolds list that includes The Nines, Chaos Theory, and Paper Man. 3 of my favorites of Ryan that nobody has seen. Thank you! Also I do love the list, but would have swapped out a few of these for The Voices, Buried, and Amityville Horror. Although I have been suprised over the years how many people have seen The Voices.
How can you forget about Smokin' Aces when Ryan Reynolds was one of the main characters? I forgot (and never noticed at first) about Chris Pine, but not Reynolds lol
The Nines is (for me anyway) not forgotten or underrated, I first saw it in 2009 and it immediately became one of my favorite movies and it is still one of the best films he's ever made.
I will never forget The Nines. One of his beat roles and Melissa McCarthys. But truly an underrated film is The Voices. Phenomenal dark comedy film with exceptional work from Reynolds including voice work.
Reynolds deserves all of the awards for acting against himself in a box for most of his screentime. And don't get me started on the heartbreaking ending.
I was surprised Sabrina the Teenage Witch movie wasn't mentioned or Voices. I remember watching Bolt Neck when it was on ABC movie, it has a different name too and that's why I had a hard time finding it
Smokin Aces! I cannot believe I forgot that movie…I loved that movie! Omg I need to rewatch it. I think there was only 4 on that list I’ve never heard of
@@ellieadkinson3657 I saw it on Peacock months ago and glad I did. Hopefully it gets more eyeballs on it. A good family film. The one thing I didn't love was SPOILER It sort of glossed over the grief process, but I guess for a family film that would have been to heavy.
My introduction to him was the tv movie School of Life, where he plays a charismatic history teacher. It aired in Disney Channel Asia in the mid 2000's
Smokin' Aces is one of my fave movies of all time. Not just Ryan but the cameos were awesome!!! What a fun movie. See it if you haven't... Dog (you'll get the reference)😊
Seriously?! Waiting is one of his best silly roles. Between Waiting and Van Wilder I figure he would never have to work again with how often people rewatch those.
I'm old(ish), I saw Waiting... finishing up my second year of catering college on my way to an 18 year and counting career in cheffing. I took it as a "what not to do if you want to stay jobbed". guide along with Anthony Bouradin's "Kitchen confidential" book. Although I've really REALLY wanted to whip out the "Bat Wing" at a few people that got my goat at times.
U left so many out fireflies in the garden green goblin is Deadpool’s dad 😂 the voices is great , and really enjoyed his performance and Abe’s in the amityville horror , blade Trinity .
Me too. I was 16 when I first saw him in two guys and a girl and a pizza place. Have had and still have such a huge crush on him since. So much so that when the series came out on DVD, I bought it without hesitation. Not just handsome, but talented to boot.
@@Honey059 the real irony for me is him and Nathan Fillion are two of favorite actors and they seem to have gotten their start on that show, also I too purchased it on DVD the minute it was available
Oh god I remember Waiting….especially that one scene (if you know, you know). I went to see this in theater with my parents. It took us like 2 months to eat at restaurants again
Ryan’s worked with nearly every one in the industry! The only way for him to finally get his name out from B list to A list celebrity’s was to make Deadpool!
Most of these I never heard of except for The Croods which I've seen before and Harold because of the "But Why meme". I haven't seen but heard of Paper Man
Thank you for this.. I just finnished watching "The Nines" Thanks to you..I needed that movie.. I've been with you guys since for a while now.. I think before youtube you use to be mojoflix .. maybe not. but thank you.
I am pretty sure maybe 3 of these at the absolute most are forgotten but the rest any Ryan Reynolds fan or avid movie watcher will both know the rest, and most are incredibly popular to this day.
No we didn't left off any movies on this list on TV or on Hulu or on the DVDs like The Croods and Adventure Land and Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle and Smokin Aces and Waiting and Paper Man and The Nines and Boltneck
@3:47 magician, not musician. Reynolds was easy to forget in this role because all the bag guys were so amazing. He was easy to forget in Adventureland because he was creepy and against type. Waiting... He was peak Reynolds. I'll never forget waiting...
i’m thinking the only reason for people forgetting ryan being in the croods is not because it’s bad but because guy looks nothing like the actor. and the movies are both really good
I remember watching both Waiting and Van Wilder with my best friend as teenagers and loving both movies but haven’t seen them since. Wonder how they hold up.
2014 The Voices is a fantastic movie. Ryan plays Jerry who is a quiet guy and is in psychosis. He can talk to his pets and severed heads. He sees his world as clean and tidy. When he takes the meds, it is not. It is one of my favorite moves by him.
The croods came out before i recognized Ryan Reynolds. I wouldnt say i forgot i just didnt know. I watched it again after the deadpool movies and really gave it some attention to the voices.

Just watched that last month along with its sequel
Waiting... is awesome.

The Voices is a very underrated dark comedy starring Ryan Reynolds.
Came to say this!!! It's very good! Vastly underrated and underseen!
One of my favourite films!
Love that movie
That movie is so messed up. It’s fantastic tho.
That's a great movie, but honestly the only funny thing in that movie is the asshole cat, cuz the rest of that movie is dark af
2 words…. Just Friends! Easily one of the most underrated rom-coms of all time!
Agree.
I made all my friends watch that movie lol.
Ryan Reynolds was incredible as Detective Pikachu...But Deadpool is the role he was made for.
How did you get the blue comment
Definitely
Buried was the best Ryan Reynolds movie of 2011. A whole movie of him trapped in a coffin in the ground was chilling. The Voices was a funny horror movie.
The Voices is an incredible movie and gets even better when you realize he voiced the dog and the cat as well
Buried is where his acting shines. Whole movie

Nobody forgot about Harold and Kumar. “Your Glistening…Soft chocolate lips…”
That line solidified Ryan Reynolds as the GOAT comedic genius and the merc with the mouth 😂
I actually did. I totally forgot he was in that.

You'd have to be extremely vacuous to know not that.
He does a funny, very short, cameo in Seth MacFarland's A Million Ways to Die in The West.
And Ted

Chaos Theory is a criminally underrated film. Really enjoyed Reynolds performance.
Also I’m surprised they didn’t mention “Just Friends”
Pretty sure Just Friends grew a cult following. Don’t believe me? Just look up a clip of him singing that All 4 One song and see the views
Buying the cow is still my favorite Ryan Reynolds movie . Totally missed it on this list ❤️

Self/less was a good sci-fi thriller. Any other actor might not have pulled it off, but Ryan does. He plays his character well.

Ryan Reynolds was in the Sabrina the Teenaged Witch movie back in the day as the love interest.

I looked up buried and I am still scarred by its sad and traumatic ending… I can never see Ryan Renolds the same again…😢
Agreed, Reynolds did a tremendous job of acting by himself in a box for most of his screentime.
I will never forget The Nines. One of his beat roles and Melissa McCarthys. But truly an underrated film is The Voices. Phenomenal dark comedy film with exceptional work from Reynolds including voice work.

RIPD is one movie I will not hate Reynolds and Bridges made an awesome duo
Ryan Reynolds makes the best of every role he gets. And he manages to have comedy in most of the 😂😅
"voices" was definitely unforgettable imo. not too many ppl talk about that movie
Ryan was also great in the film The Voices.
My favourite Ryan Reynolds portrayal Deadpool 😂😂😂😂
Reynolds deserves all of the awards for acting against himself in a box for most of his screentime. And don't get me started on the heartbreaking ending.
You should've mention Buried from (2010).It's pretty different from what he usually does.

Van Wilder is right up there for me, I also saw Buried in the cinema with my sister upon release, now that is one haunting film!
