Fabulous! A black man with a business. I love it! I have often wondered why more black folks don’t have their own small businesses. It’s a great way for them to build wealth and show their knowledge to the public. You go guy. Keep it up!
Thank you I appreciate the support 🙏🏾
Great video. This (fungus) is an issue with TTTF. Getting in front of that is a wonderful thing. Otherwise, as you so aptly stated, you can find yourself in trouble. Scott's marketing team is phenomenal. Azoxy and Propi are the two big fungicides for this. It is a really good idea to alternate solutions so that there is a lower degree of opportunity for control resistance. Again, really enjoy how you explain things......liquid formula vs. granulated formula in this case. Well done!
Thank you !!!! I used the bio advanced fungus control and it works ! My grass is nice and green again
Lawn fungus are no joke, just like what you said it'll take over in a matter of days. I'm battling necrotic ring spot. No joke, I'm going to have to do a heavy over seeding this fall brother. Your lawn still looking mighty green.
Most definitely that lawn Fungus is no joke. It got me last year on my front yard one day it was glowing green lol the very next day it was suffering from brown spot just that fast smh. But I used 2 of those 3 products and it cleared up in about 3 to 4 weeks completely.
I used the Scotts and the Bioadvanced back in June. First application was the Bioadvanced, two weeks later the Scotts and then two weeks after that it was the Bioadvanced again and that helped with the fungus. Now it turns out that I am battling creeping bentgrass in some areas of my lawn and will have to treat that with Tenacity and hopefully that will kill it off and then I will rake it out plant new grass on those areas in September.
Your lawn is looking amazing, especially in this 90 plus degree weather we've been having too much of this summer.
Weeds love this hot weather. And thats the same way I use those 2 products and have great success.
For the first time ever, I started at the beginning of May and put down Strobe 2L and Propiconazole (both as a preventative measure). I’ve put them down once every 25-26 days. It’s August and I haven’t seen any disease in my yard. My yard is approx 16K square feet. Four ounces of Strobe 2L combined with 4 ounces of Propiconazole along with 8 gallons of water treats my lawn.
Yea thats the higher grade products they work better
The most important thing I got out of this video is the importance of jumping on this fast. I was grazing my lawn this morning wondering what these brown patches were all about. The problem is, I have 11/2 acres of mostly weeds but it's green. I accept it but I don't want a diseased lawn. I saw something online about a tea spoon of baking soda and a gallon of water. Quite honestly, I think I need to jump on it fast where it needs it most. Thx for the heads up.
Yes that the most important thing is to identify it quickly and take of it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Very helpful.
Thank you
Picked up and applied dr earth today. Was looking for scotts but I couldn't find it anywhere within reasonable distance of me. So I went with the only thing I could find. I have brown patch in St. Augustine here north of Houston. We'll see if it makes any difference. I'll be changing my watering habits and mow height as well as bagging. Haven't bagged at all over the summer and theres too much needing to decompose so my turf is thinning. I'm a beginner with it, but I'm trying and learning different things. Perhaps by next season my lawn will be much much better.
Thanks so much for your video. Nothing worse than seeing a fungus "surprise" in the yard. !!
You're welcome I'm glad I could help
That was smart to use both product I did the same! Profrossionals do the same. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing your experience regarding you lawn brother.
I'm starting a lawn care program and I need all the info I can get to get
My lawn to the next level. I just subscribe.👍
No problem. Thank you for your support and Good luck on your lawn 👍
Ugh we have a patch of mushrooms growing in, I’m going to have to try this. I’ve been enjoying your videos, keep up the good work!
Mushrooms are actually a good sign that your lawn has organic matter which is a good thing. They'll eventually disappear. Thank you for your support 👍👍
Mushrooms growing on your lawn could be indicative of decaying tree roots.
Awesome video. I just used the Scott’s DE and Bio advanced about a week apart. Seems like it slowed it down, but I’m still waiting for it to turn green again. Hopefully soon.
Stay on top of that disease. I used both in the past and had great results. Thank you 👍
Bro , quick and understandable thanks you 👏👏👍
👍👍
Crazy hot here as well Darryl - treated in Saturday after storms rolled through. Your turf still looking might green 👌
Thank you its a battle for sure I tell you. 95 degree average with little rain
Can you put the granular and liquid the same day? I have St. Agustine grass.
Yes u can
Great info...thanks
No problem Thank you for your support 👍👍
Awesome video! I just got the products you have in the video. I have some fungus going on right now so hopefully this combo works. I’m planning on aerating and seeding next month but I have to stop the fungus first.
Yes that is very important at this time stopping that Fungus because it will spread rapidly. Thank you and I hope this helped
Great suggestions
Thank you
How to know you no over or under spraying the liquid version?
@daironhernandezperez8667 the bottle has a side indicator to let you know how much product is left
Just catching this video.... Good explanations!
Thank you
Fungus has killed about 1/3 of my backyard lawn. Can't wait to reseed in 4 weeks.
That fungus will definitely destroy your lawn. I'll be doing my areate and overseed around that time also.
When should I apply fungus control what season fall, winter spring, summer
Late spring heading into summer when the weather start to get humid. Thats when fungus will attack your lawn
Nice video!!
Does Dr. Earth work on grey leaf spot on st Augustine grass?
Yes it does just make sure you spray early in the morning before the sun really get going or evening time when the sun sets to avoid damaging your lawn from sunburn. You may need to apply 2 application about 7-10 days apart to fully get rid of the fungus depending on how bad it is. I hope this helped thank you
@@LawnAmateur Thank you, I have pets and I’m trying to keep my lawn products organic!
Hey Darryl. Great video as always. Right now I'm getting crab grass and it's so dang on hot I can't put down tenacity..
So far no fungus...
Yea its definitely too hot but you can spot spray the crab grass if its in certain areas
@@LawnAmateurgreat i wasn't sure if i could do stop areas
Can you apply this and weed and feed, to get rid of weeds and get thicker grass?
No I wouldn't apply weed and feed and this together. The weed and feed needs to stick on the weeds to start killing weeds
Great video, Lawn Fungus is a nightmare 🔥🔥
Yes it is. I'm trying to stay on top of it
So can you use them on the same date or wait a week or so @7:45
Yes you can apply them on the same day but I recommend waiting 30 days if you're applying for the preventer rate or wait 14 days at the curative rate
@@LawnAmateur i have a little fungus now but like to apply for further problems
Great content/info per usual i could hardly focus from tryna get glances at the yard 😂 #tunedin
😂👍the yard is under attack from the sun right now. I'm trying to get it under control
PEACE&LUV
🙏🏾
It rained all day yesterday and I woke up this morning with a white cotton growth in a particular patch of my lawn that is constantly under the shade. Dang, another $20 down the drain. When you use this product do you avoid watering the area for a couple of days?
With the Scotts granular product you have to apply it and then lightly water it in and then let it dry so the product can dry into the soil. Then you can go back to your normal watering schedule.
With the Bioadvanced and Dr Earth liquids you spray it on the lawn and then let it dry on the lawn and soil for about an hour. Then you can go back to your normal watering schedule.
The liquids will work faster at protecting and curing the lawn because its already liquefied.
Thank you sir!!
No problem I'm glad I could help
In the beginning of each episode you should start with a view of the yard and a close up on the turf. We want to see the progress of the turf.
Great idea. Thank you for your advice 👍
Can I use both of these products along with Grub Ex?
Yes you can. I would separate the fungus application into 2 different applications
@@LawnAmateur thanks!
Awesome
I appreciate your support 👍👍
I have lots of mushrooms. Does DiseaseEX act on the mushrooms?
It doesn't specify stopping mushrooms but you can spray your lawn with dawn dish soap that can stop mushrooms from growing in lawn
Will high temps help eliminate the fungus ? It the heat gets to triple digits
No once a lawn get hit with fungus you have to handle it right away or you'll lose your lawn
@@LawnAmateur Oh man. Ok. I’ll head to lowes tomorrow see what they have on hand. Noticed some guns in some areas. Not bad but don’t want it getting worst. Not sure what kind of fungus it is.
I’ve tried Scott’s DiseaseX multiple weeks back to back over 2 months and it did nothing to get rid of my lawn fungus problem.
Thats interesting, Did you follow the curative rate application?
@@LawnAmateur Followed label instructions to the letter, even calibrated my spreader to ensure accurate distribution rate. Product did absolutely nothing even after 3 applications over 6 weeks,
Wow I'm shocked
How can I apply this stuff in 95 degrees? Should I wait for the sun to go down? And should I mow my lawn before I apply this stuff?
Yes you can apply it early morning before the sun rise or apply it in the even when the sun is going down especially if you're using the liquid products. That'll give the product time to dry on and not allow the sun to burn the product on the grass. If you use the granular product make sure you water it in after spreading
Never water your lawn when sun is going down. Unless you want more lawn diseases. Water early morning. Yet I am just trying to figure this lawn stuff out. Yet I learned that last year when I had a disease wipe out half my lawn.
After you apply how long do I wait to water?
The granular formula you have to watee in right after applying. The other 2 liquid products wait atleast 2 hours for it to dry on to the lawn before watering lawn
I noticed I have spots of what looks like rust. Doesn't look like pics where the rust is on blades of grass tho? It is a thin spot , prolly why it looks different. Ima put down the Scotts Disease X.
If you see some disease starting to form its better to jump on it now instead of waiting
@@LawnAmateur yes, I just bought off Amazon Disease X and Grub X. The box came open and only the Disease X was delivered. Got a refund from Amazon. Then a few days later the grub x showed up. Lol luckily I know the Station Manager at my post office. He was able to find it and have it delivered. Will be putting the Disease X this week!
@enzomoya1689 🤣🤣 sound good to me
In the UK we can't get anything for lawn fungus that is for home use 😂🇬🇧 Brilliant lol
Aww man thats tough but I kno yall adjust and still have nice lawns
