The evenings in the little town of Sapa, Northern Vietnam, are best enjoyed at the local night market, where street food and BBQ options are the stars. Locals gather to enjoy exotic meats and vegetables grilled on a stick. It's a feast of vibrant foods and aromas that tickle your appetite and make your mouth salivate.
In terms of BBQ there is for everyone here, vegans, vegetarians, and obviously meat addicts. Local vendors are proud to display their most prized hunts: horse aromatised with lemongrass, whole frogs, birds, pig intestines.
I was there to try them all and so after constructing my dream bbq tray, I patiently waited in my little plastic stool, witnessing the flame turning fresh meat into a barbecued wonder.
