    As I have always stated “ the cure “ rob in particular ( not diminishing) any other band member have had the grace of writing ✍️ songs very melodic and romantic altogether, and the cure has always know how to imprint those moments and perpetually have it in music 🎼 love and deception couldn’t go wrong with “the cure”

    Getting Reeves Gabrels to join the band was a genius move on Robert's part. Nothing against Porl or Perry as I like them as well, but Reeves brings another level of musicality to the band. Reeves can play pretty much anything you throw at him.

      well ok I agree but I don't get the original sensation of "Birdmad girl" here. This is the first time I dislike something on his play though.

      @@parmor125“Birdman Girl” happens to be my fav from that album (The Top) which is an album full of really weird songs.
      The demo version is even better (I think) because the bass is more prominent as the song wasn’t totally fleshed out yet.
      For anybody who wonders what a Robert Smith solo album would have sounded like in 1983-84, The Top is as close as you’re ever gonna get as I don’t think Robert is ever going to release one. Robert wrote and played practically everything on that album apart from the drums which Andy Anderson handled. Granted, Robert was also on no sleep, boatloads of Acid, mushrooms, and other assorted drugs to get through that hectic period in his Life. How he survived, I have no idea
      The appeal of the song (Birdman Girl) to me is in the music which has a kick ass drum/bass groove, sprinkle in the piano flourishes, jangly guitar, and the kooky drug-addled lyrics and you have a winner in my book!

      In the music world, there's nothing better than being up front at a Cure concert!

    The tempo is too slow

    • @furnitureconsortium
      @furnitureconsortium ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s the same tempo as on The Top album!
      This is a groove-based song, it would sound horrid at a faster pace
