The last panel is very interesting: Anya is standing fully in the light, Curly is half covered in shade with his left eye being the closest to the light and Jimmy is in the shadows completely.
Curly also choose to remain on Jimmy's side of the corner even though there was enough place by Anya's side for him to be next to her.

Kinda shows he's on Anya's side and would do anything to protect her, but he also cares about Jimmy and will be there for him in hopes he would do better, and also Curly's indecisiveness of the situation and how his friendship of Jimmy blinded him from the horrible things that happened and will happen and his flawed sense of judgement. Also that he's not good or bad, he's human who wanted the best for everyone but also makes mistakes that would be terrible.
Oh god, Curly getting on the middle, not totally under the light nor the shadow, the symbolism, we love these

@paupolzoni9643 I interpret this less like Curly siding with Jimbo, bc truly I think he wanted to find a way to make both happy (which it was impossible), and more that his centrist position could only benefit Jimbo at end.
