Great video, i'm from Ostuni and i really like this content. The Heart of Ostuni howrever is not the city, but the land of olive trees you saw down the street to the sea. There are located the highest quantity of Millenary olives (2000-3000 years) in the world, our soul, history and pride. The Romans and Messapi plant this olives, that are still producing the best oil ever made, rest of this population are in some of historical Frantoi and Masserie, the famous one is Masseria Brancati, a stunning domus in the land of this giant olive trees. Thank you for sharing your experience!
True SoundEDEffects,in practice the real centre are the olive trees sloping down towards the sea. I wish I could tour inside of them that day, but camera died while I couldn't film all of them. I tried to film them by drone but... I'm from near Rome, but I love Puglia... you're lucky as you have everything there indeed... culture, food, architecture, to not speak about the sea... paradisiac place. It's been 2 years now I've been traveling to "forgotten towns of Italy", but of course famous towns as Ostuni were a must. I will post more about Puglia for sure. Un salutone e grazie ancora! Lovely. All those little streets and narrow alleys taking unexpected turns, climbing up into town and stepping down again, going under arches and decorated with beautiful flowers... Lecce-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Ostuni-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks and people that know how to live very close to heaven, while still connected to their home soil.

Thank you so much Nomadic. Indeed the idea of the channel was to explore only "forgotten" towns but with time also famous cities and towns too...but Ostuni is rather different and not the usual touristic location in Puglia for sure. But definitely worth it. Wish you a nice weekend
I have to admit I never heard of Ostuni before but it is indeed unique with its stunning white-washed buildings and scenic views. Great that you are filming places that are not the usual tourist attractions. Thanks for taking us on this tour. By the way, I was wondering how you managed to manoeuvre your way through these narrow, tight spaces and steep steps with your equipment while filming.

@@StillWanderer Would love too but we just stay at different places for a few months. In fact today we decided against a purchase near the Arno in Tuscany. Just got too nervous. Would have been flat and perfect for bikes....ugh.
@@StillWanderer We were in Perugia in February when the pandemic started in Lombardy. Gubbio, Panciale and Citta di Castello are some of our favorites. Will be back this November if all goes as planned. Enjoy.

Dear Ricardo, thank you for another wonderful walk through Italian towns! now the south, after the green hills of Umbria and Tuscany - a little hot for my taste. But it's still very interesting! I noticed that there are no air conditioners on the walls of houses and in the windows. How do people carry the heat? Are you used to it or do thick walls of houses keep an acceptable temperature?
Glad you enjoyed it also Ostuni dear Ela, great memories of that trip... indeed, they are built in such a way that during winter they're warm and in summer quite cool inside, llarge masonry stones, white pèaster and unique techniques. I entered into some of them and it's actually quite amazing how they were cool without A/C. Though... some do have them. In narrow alleys also the sunlight isn't so strong on the buildings too, compared to outside the old towns. I love Puglia very very much; these videos of Puglia were very much "liked" by TH-cam as well and got so many more views than the others , quite peculiar)
@@777praisehimforever True.. the first videos were very "roughly made" with the mic of the camera. Now I use a professional Mic to capture as sounds as possible. I hope you enjoy it though this way!

You have the best videos, but way too long and slow,have to fast forward and this skipping a lot,no need to pause so long on stairs, or the same road extra slow for a minute or two,keep it up but less stopping and walk faster would be great

I have to admit I never heard of Ostuni before but it is indeed unique with its stunning white-washed buildings and scenic views. Great that you are filming places that are not the usual tourist attractions. Thanks for taking us on this tour. By the way, I was wondering how you managed to manoeuvre your way through these narrow, tight spaces and steep steps with your equipment while filming.

Gubbio, Panciale and Citta di Castello are some of our favorites.

Dear Ricardo, thank you for another wonderful walk through Italian towns! now the south, after the green hills of Umbria and Tuscany - a little hot for my taste. But it's still very interesting! I noticed that there are no air conditioners on the walls of houses and in the windows. How do people carry the heat? Are you used to it or do thick walls of houses keep an acceptable temperature?
Glad you enjoyed it also Ostuni dear Ela, great memories of that trip... indeed, they are built in such a way that during winter they're warm and in summer quite cool inside, llarge masonry stones, white pèaster and unique techniques. I entered into some of them and it's actually quite amazing how they were cool without A/C. Though... some do have them. In narrow alleys also the sunlight isn't so strong on the buildings too, compared to outside the old towns. I love Puglia very very much; these videos of Puglia were very much "liked" by TH-cam as well and got so many more views than the others , quite peculiar)

Hi Steve, thank you! I was in Puglia for just a few days, as due to work .. I couldn't take many days off.. But I've seen that there is a lot of interests in Puglia videos, so... You have the best videos, but way too long and slow,have to fast forward and this skipping a lot,no need to pause so long on stairs, or the same road extra slow for a minute or two,keep it up but less stopping and walk faster would be great

We visited your country in march 2017 and fell in love We want to visit again once things are better and till the time we can't, we are traveling vicariously through your videos. I love watching such walk videos and I think your videos are so far the best ones I've seen. The info you add really makes a lot of difference. In fact, we are planning our next visit with the help of your videos cause we like to roam the streets like locals.
